your local carinderia made abithigh-end! housed in an old building, it is a charming, no-frills, "point-point" that serves clean, affordable and tasty home-style dishes. they have two categories of dishes to choose from: one made specially for students (budget meals), and one for everyone else (regular-priced meals). at night, the place transforms into a drinking place. only downside to this quaint carinderia is that it gets really hot inside (no aircon!), especially during the summer.

your normal food joint elevated to look neat and abithistorical.

we were walking around intramuros when lunch time struch. had to find a place nearby and a guard recommended this to us. we went inside the place and it was rather hot because they don’t have any ac installed. good thing they have a fan ready so it helped cool us down.

the food was not that amazing but it wasn’t bad either. for some reason i actually enjoyed the kare-kare we ordered. for about 300php, it was good to be shared amongst 4 or 5 people. there was a lot of meat in the pot! the pinakbet we got was also good though kinda lacking in salt. a solution we had was to use the extra fish paste from the kare-kare and use it for the pinakbet. yum!

as for service, the staff was nowhere to be found. i guess they were busy eating somewhere. we had to stand-up all the time to get water. i think a littlebitof initiative wonmt hurt.

been here so many times. the ambience is great,though abitwarm in the noon time . its perfect for barkada lunch out because the tables are wide enough to accomodate groups.
