food was delicious but waaaaay overpriced. sat outside with regular wafts of toilet smells from toilet down the side of the building…not appetising at all

we had the pork meatballs entree, and amatriciana and squid ink pasta. pasta were good but portions are a bit on the smaller side which made the hour plus long wait (especially at lunchtime) unjustifiable. the herb bread and pork fat spread was a nice touch. if you’re looking for a grazing type of dinner with good company then this place might work.

i paid $28 dollars for tortellini, chicken and the portion size was super small and did not fill me up at all. i felt for this fish the price was way to excessive. it was more an appetiser!!

we loved tasting our way through the amazing menu, matched with beautiful italian wines. to start the hiramasa kingfish crudo was a wonderful melange of flavours. we loved the wonderfully fresh kingfish slatehered in morsels of celery, chive oil and balsamico bianco. simple, yet simply beautiful.

the unassuming dish of crispy brussels sprouts was similarly delicious and a true highlight. we loved the caramelised flavours of the brussel sprouts which were brought to life by the salinity of the pancetta and umami-laden parmesan cream and pecorino-romano dop. this dish is a must-have!

for mains pasta is king here. think al dente ribbons of pappardelle with pork shoulder and beef brisket bolognese as well as jet black conchiglie al nero, tossed with tender slices of fremantle octopus, ‘nduja calabrese and pickled shallots.

and yes, dessert is good too. we tried the bombolini served wtih mascarpone, lemon curd and passionfruit. delicious!

tasteless pasta dishes:
pappardelle had hardly any pork shoulder & beef brisket bolognese

conchiglie al nero had the least sauce it was literally plain tastless pasta with the extra cheese i requested for extra taste

tagliatelle, braised pine mushroom ragu had sour tasting mushrooms and again tasteless plain pasta with no sauce

no waiter asked how the food was despite seeing i didn’t finish my main dish.

king prawn pasta had 5-6 small cut up pieces of prawn. pasta was so dry without any sauce, not even a smidgen of liquid at the bottom of the plate. as such it was a struggle to eat and for $36 as well, a complete and utterly sad bowl of disappointment. had really high hopes... but nope. pasta also took 30mins or longer after appetisers to come out then we were told we had 5 mins to leave as there was another booking.

a fantastic dining experience, modern fusion of australian cuisine with well done italian pasta. wonderful service and staff, always recommend whatever appetizers are in season

had the fixed menu. entree was one finger of focaccia and one meatball. main was one plate of pasta and a salad between two. $60. dessert was one donut the size of a ping pong ball for $8. i left hungry and ripped off. not going back.

the food here looks good, but the serving was honestly so small! they were pretty decent, but i don’t think i would come here again. this place is more catered for date occasions i suppose and i came here with friends instead. so we had to really share out the pasta, and i felt like i only had one tiny bite from every dish. ambience great though, and staff friendly.

staff were super lovely, every precaution taken to be covid safe with all staff wearing masks, hand sanitizer on every table and even individual paper bags to put your masks.

we ordered from here over lockdown via providoor and were super impressed with the flavour and quality of the food.

while the flavour and quality did not disappoint tonight when we ate in, the serving size 100% did. $36 for 14 small pieces of agnolotti was a joke. we literally were momentarily confused that it was an entre sized not a main. it was disappointing to see, especially as it was so tasty. we were so disappointed that we opted to get dessert elsewhere.

unbelievable food and a must try experience!

as soon as lock-down is over and i can get in and enjoy a meal, i'm there. we ordered through providoor and had the meal delivered to our door in a cooler box, with everything ready to prepare.

it was clear straight away how much care was taken to get everything ready. the presentation was top notch and instructions on how to finish everything was easy to follow.

we enjoyed the set menu which included

starters and sides -
house-made focaccia, fried pork polpette and crispy brussel sprouts.

main/pasta -
agnolotti and pappardelle

desert -
bombolini with mascarpone, rhubarb, belgian chocolate & hazelnut

everything was incredibly tasty and well worth it. we had enough left overs to enjoy for lunch the next day. i really enjoyed the experience of cooking this at home and would 100% order from them again!

lovely service in a light and relaxed atmosphere. pasta was beautifully cooked, highly recommend ordering the beef crudo and brussel sprouts. yum!

the beef crudo was one of the best i’ve had and the cacio e pepe is a must for any pasta lover.
