do not waste your money as the chef does not care about the food he puts out i never want to write a review but this was so bad i am forced to. i was there saturday night the 24/05/2014 and you could see and taste that there was so effort put into the food. the cause was separated and watery when it was ment to be creamy, probably wasn't made fresh. we asked for a special request that was not hard to do especially when the place was quiet and we paid for it but the chef couldn't be bothered doing it even though we paid for it.
i am extremely disappointed so if you read this go somewhere else.

terrible!. after waiting 45 minutes for our meal. it finally arrived and was disgusting. we didnt eat our meals. the veal was about 1mm thick and tasted like it was drowned in caramel. i ordered the chicken and it was dry and tasteless plus there was a big hair in it! never go there to eat! i dont know how they stay in business.

disgusting service. on saturday i called the restaurant to make a booking only to have a young girl answer rudely and giggle the entire way through the conversation. i made the booking and showed up at 7 to be seated only to be told that the booking hadnt been written down. there was no apology and when we were finally seated we werent given menus. 15 minutes after being there without any menus and having had numerous staff members walk back and past the table we finally had a waiter come up to us and ask us if we wanted menus. at this point we were put off eating there and my partner said to the waiter we are leaving now this is bad service. once again there was no apology and the waiter simply walked away from us. having dined there numerous times i think this is absolutely disgusting not to even of had an apology. will not be going back there and definitely will not recommend this restaurant.

great atmosphere, affable staff and delicious italian food. we stumbled upon paparazzi cafe ristorante last night (saturday) when we couldn't find the restaurant we were booked into in falcon ! paparazzi was buzzing with diners but the lovely staff member (jacinta) managed to get us a table that had just been vacated....we were so relieved being a saturday night and no booking (and very hungry by this time). what a fabulous place, you just get the feeling that there are a lot of regular diners who come here by the banter between staff and diners ....the most wonderful smells were wafting from the kitchen and pizza oven corner , we got some bottles of wine and started off with the pizza bread that the owner was making in the pizza oven at the front of the restaurant - best pizza bread ever ! love that there is no rush (classic italian style dining) leaving us with plenty of time to chat and sip wine between courses.... we followed the pizza bread with a pasta dish (linguini marinara) and gnocchi dish both of which was home made - absolutely superb and delicious - 2 of us ordered the beef cheeks - which were slow cooked to perfection. we finished off with coffee and creme brulee. love this place and will definitely be back.

yet another dining disaster - should have read 11 october 2013. in mandurah for a few days with kids sport and thought a italian meal would be good.

eight of us were welcomed in, they were very accommodating as it was a busy night, getting seat was a highlight as they kindly adjusted some tables. i expect italian restaurants to be loud but this placed rated above most, couldn't hear myself think.

we wanted to place a meal order as after day of sport younger members were hungry. took 15 mins to flag down a waiter who despite protestation would only take a drinks order. another 15 minutes later a young waitress asked if we would like some drinks - i suggested we would like the ones we had already ordered would be good. i asked about ordering food but was told not yet.

in the meantime one of the owners(?) fancies himself as a piano accordionist. as if it wasn't loud enough before, this took it to a whole new level. perhaps a distraction instead of food or perhaps they were trying to clear a few more tables for a second sitting as the patrons were leaving in droves. wish we had already eaten and could leave but alas we hadn't even placed an order yet!

drinks did arrive but still no sign of getting an order in. after protesting at the counter managed to get someone to take order. was told meals would be 30 minutes so asked what would be quick for the those who were hungry now and pizza was suggested. - orders taken for mains including pizza. pizza quick please - all good?

further 25 minutes asked how pizzas were going? . answer - oh we have timed them to arrive with other mains was response?? pizzas immediately - please (now been waiting over an hour). at least the piano accordion has finished and my ears now only ringing rather than aching in pain. food soon please?. pizza arrive so (with greatest of optimism) asked - how long for other mains? after a further ten minutes questioning the chef ( still not clear if there was actually anyone in the kitchen) we were advise that mains were a further 45 minutes away! - time to go.

on departure - apologies for our experience. we explained that the most disappointing part was the lack of awareness with was happening and inability to respond to requests like pizza quickly please. actually don't believe it was dishonesty - i actually think nobody had a clue what was going on? perhaps if the piano accordionist spent a bit more time assisting the patrons rather than deafening them it might rate as passable

oh and the pizzas - i had non but those who did - mushrooms provided (excessively) despite being specifically asking for none. near $20 pizzas had bases that were more like those from a iga for a home made job. this place needs some serious attention to customer service. oh and by the way - the cobwebs noted from other reviewers are still there. i don't think the owners read this sites feedback either so i don't expect it will change!

we got take away at hans café. fantastic and only took 15 minutes from when walked in door.

family values. as a fellow small business owner heavily reliant on my employees for success, it was with some trepidation i went to paparazzi given some of there critical reviews. i found staff attentive and responsive given my 3 year old wanted his meal with our entree. the servings were great value for money and probably too big, as we had no room for deserts. we were seated, served and satisfied, all within an hour. i understand the struggle of hiring employees and all the costs associated with running a small business, i praise the messineo family for the restaurant they run. i think the general public is watching too much food reality programmes and need to understand family's livelihoods are in these small businesses. one bad review can make or break these small businesses and seems social media has made it all too easy to post such bad reviews. when did we all become critics? first time customer to paparazzi and will definitely returning when i am next in mandurah.

poor service, food is ok.. after having made reservations for 10, we went to paparazzi cafe for mother's day lunch. it took a very long time for the main courses to come out, and more than 30 minutes passed between the first and the last main course being served. in addition the portion sizes were very inconsistent. the fettucini with prawns and the spaghetti carbonara were decent sized portions while the portions of the pasta stuffed with rabbit and mushrooms and the ravioli were on the small side for a main meal. when were paying at the counter and mentioned that we found the service substandard, we were told that we should have complained to our waitress and that it is mother's day. it they were not able to give us decent service on mother's day i am of the opinion that they should have rejected our booking.

lunch with coast card. be wary when dining and using the coast card offer of "buy one main, get one main free" that you have to actually choose your main from their main menu, not the specials menu. the main menu is about double the cost of the specials menu ...
also, be aware when saying yes to water that you request tap water other wise you will get a bottle of bottled water and charged accordingly. (they ask you if you want still or mineral)
our mains were ok ... they sounded nicer on the menu than what they actually were. it was quite salty, but the mash was great. i don't think it was worth the full asking price on the menu and more like the cost of the discounted price we were going to pay.
we asked for a desert, got given the lunch specials menu and ordered our desert to share ($8) when it came to payment, they said there was a mistake on the bill, and as we had a coast card our desert was going to be $12 ,,, this did not go down very well with me. i didn't say anything as i was splitting the bill with my friend and wansn't sure if i was being unreasonable to be annoyed. however, i have now thought about it, and feel i wished i had said something ... that's just not fair at all, exact same desert .. but as we had a discounted main meal with the coast card offer, they charge you more for the deserts ... what the!!! i did write a letter to coast fm to let them know, but have not heard back from them.
the restaurant has no atmosphere, we were the only ones dining there, until we were about to leave then another couple came in. its very tired and cheap feeling place, awful chairs.
i will not be returning, and i will not be recommending this place to anyone.

disappointed. would have to be one of our worst experiences, booking was made 4 days before hand. however when we arrived no booking could be found. we were told that we could have a table but had to be out within 1 1/2 hours. then when we were finished our meals (within the required time frame) we were then told we could keep the table and stay longer, a bit late
the food was ok, however the drink service was very poor out of 4 beers ordered only 2 arrived.
then to top it off, when we arrived home we phoned the restaurant to report our ordeal (instead of writing a poor review) and was rudely spoken to, so the review it is.

this italian restaurant gets busy early on a weekday evening. service was prompt and friendly. food was pretty good. i had the grilled seafood platter which was delicious. probably one of the nicer restaurants to dine in when in mandurah.

we visited paparazzi for an early dinner with our 2 year old son on a thursday night and the service was impeccable. the waiter went out of his way to give him colouring pencils and also placed a bib on him too. ordering was easy and when the good came out about 15 minutes later we were extremely satisfied. the pizza was one of the better pizzas we've had in a long time, the crust was perfectly crispy and the base just right. the cabonara was also delicious and was a huge portion. would definitely go back of craving italian in mandurah.

was of to a bad start when our online booking was not acknowledged. waited just over an hour for our starters to arrive then half an hour for the mains. apologies from wait staff, and offer of topping up our water! in that time no check in to our table on whether we'd like another wine! staff
moving around but not carrying any food! customers leaving due to wait time leaving the ambience somewhat lacking. decor needs a revamp, and a few mints at the counter wouldn't go astray. weird smoke into the air left us coughing and staff opening the door to air the restaurant ...so we got the cold winter air while eating! one customer had to stand outside for awhile! no offer of a free drink or discount to counter balance out wait. so looking forward to an authentic italian experience, walked away $150 disappointed.
