heard so much good.... and only had a mediocre time. i think it might have to do with the waiter and staff.

first of all - the hostess was useless about the parking. we asked if our car was in the three hour zone, and she said she didn't know. know your parking lot so your guests don't get a ticket. then she insisted the valets were outside - they were not when we arrived, and she acted like this was our problem. finally, i went outside and found a valet (who was awesome and very friendly!) and he said our parking place was in the zone and good.

we were there for a birthday dinner - 8 total. the guest of honor had to ask for a coffee three times, glasses would sit empty, food was luke warm. but i gotta say, the food was good - but i'd rather spend half (it was almost $600 with tip) elsewhere and have better ambiance and dining experience.

so, might try the happy hour, but over all, not impressed, palisade, not impressed.

i liked it. we went not expecting much, but i was pleasantly surprised. the food was good, good price, and our server was really friendly and on top of her game.

we went here for my birthday

we had a lovely table right next to the window overlooking the marina

they had a card for me & rose petals on the table

our waitress, stacey was very friendly & efficient

there’s a huge variety of food

i couldn’t try everything as i was full

but, everything i did have was delicious

if you like brunch this is a great one to go to. especially for a celebration

to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary my husband and i wanted to go out to a nice dinner. we also took an overnight trip to portland with our kids, but we wanted to go out to dinner, just the two of us, to celebrate our decade of marriage. palisade, in the magnolia neighborhood of seattle, was the perfect place to celebrate. when i made our reservation, i wrote that we were celebrating our anniversary. when we checked in, the hostess greeted us with a "happy anniversary" and showed us to our table. they also decorated the table with rose petals and with a card for us. it's these details that make a meal memorable and enjoyable.

my husband and i celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at the palisades restaurant. i ordered the prawns stuffed with crab meat and my husband ordered the prime rib. the presentation of the plates and the taste both dishes were wonderful. we look forward to coming back in the near future.

sad---. we have been coming to the palisade over the course of 20 years not much the last few years after a move across the state. planned dinner with out-of-state guest while we were all in seattle and had one of the worst meals i had in years. three of our meals the meat was so tough it wasn't eatable, the 4th meal mediocre.
manager was gracious, no charge for the 3 meals, which in no way made up for a ruined evening and great disappointment. such a beautiful spot, had wonderful in years past, now awful---

sometimes you can't justify the price. we've been a to palisades a few times now and the last few visits have been not so much about the food and more about the atmosphere and the location. we end up there inevitably because of view of the sound and the dock, but the food has been a bit of a downer the last couple of times. we ordered the palisade's ocean tower and the lobster and the meat in both of them tasted just too bland and ordinary. the oysters were flavorful along with a good mix of the sauce but the lobsters didn't seem to be prepared well. especially for the high price you pay for them it seemed like a waste of money.

great ambience. palisade is one of those places to go to for special occasions. right from the valet parking, reception, seating and service makes you feel special. the oysters on the palisade’s ocean tower were the best.

nice mid-afternoon visit ... door hostesses (women in this case) were of the “we will almost ignore you, if it is okay,” caliber.
but bartender was right there, on, and helpful.
should do something about the invisible hostess clan (all huddled together), management. maybe add a few males to the “group.” perhaps that would break it up a bit for the benefit of your customers. a-1 service is actually a "thing." read up on it folks at the door.

stopped in yesterday for a glass of wine and appetizers. was our first visit. very nice, decent+ bartender, and food was delicious.
hostesses’ seemed ... almost unprofessionally snobbish or maybe clumsy re welcoming and assisting with seating. not horrible, not great group there.

want to stop by at sunset as a previous poster suggested. it must be beautiful.

the service and food was amazing. i am in disbelief about any negative review about this place. if you inform them of a special occasion they make it know when u arrive. the food is incredible better than anything i've had in awhile. i assumed it was a place where special occasions took place because of good service and quality food but the way that everything is prepared is the reason in itself.

gorgeous restaurant - needs updated menu and energy. beautiful setting, very attentive staff. we had high hopes after 10+ years away...it would seem the restaurant is resting on its status and location. we went with wine by the glass because our entrees would be so different...the selection was not great...the wine list as a whole seemed to focus on very high end wines that were reasonably priced for a restaurant, and grocery store wines that were very high priced, even for a restaurant. the menu seemed very limited (which gave hopes for it being fresh). we shared the kung pao calamari as an appetizer, and it wasn't bad...nothing to write home about, but not a terribly good treatment of calamari...she had the fillet and i had the crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. the fillet had great flavor, and the potato pancakes were delicious, but well done doesn't equal burnt, and they plated it with the charred side down...they knew. the jumbo prawns were indeed jumbo, nice to see that, but the crab stuffing (and likely the prawns) had obviously been frozen...while the prawns were cooked nicely, they were flavorless, and i only wish the stuffing was. the stringy, fishy, crab stuffing inedible. we almost left without desert, but really wanted to end the evening on something nice...the salted caramel banana split delivered, amazing...delicious, but...really, that's not what we came here for. if we want to pay a lot for a great view and excellent seafood...we'll go to salty's.

a mediocre dining experience. a very nice piece of halibut was overcooked and not well seasoned. salad was not adequately dressed. a plate of serrano ham layered on bread over what appeared to be tomato paste was indelibly salty. dinner at home is so superior!
