bhindi fry had too much salt. rest the food was ok.
but what they lack is the treatment of customers.
when i asked the server to get me avegthali, he went inside the kitchen, came back, told me "thali nahi ho paayega" and just turned around and left as if he was at a joggers park.
when asked ," to bhaiya, dusra kuchh order le lo", he just turned around to his fellow server, and said " jaa be, us table ka order le".
the other server was ok.
but when asked for a plate of jeera rice, he went to the kitchen, came back 10sec later with a plate of old and cold jeera rice. when told to atleast heat it up, his reply was "theek hi to hai" as he was feeling too lazy to go to the kitchen and ask the chef to heat it up.
you should treat the customer with some respect.

so, i have tried the bhagat tarachand outlet in pune and found it reasonably alright. i, however, did not like the food served here. following summarizes the review of this place.

ambiance- a well lighted, family place with ample seating for 10 families on the ground floor. there was a first floor but that seemed to be closed down. ambiance was alright and nothing wrong in it. 4/5

service- service was good as in the waiter knew the menu well. however, i found the service a little slow. probably they were low on cooking staff. 3.5/5

food- we ordered mainly thalis for all and one single starter separately.

veg lollipop- it was simply like avegmanchurian with too much oil, spices and ample pieces of theveglollipop. it was nothing special as such. you can get this at any random place. 3/5

thali- the thali consisted of the following-:

paneer ki sabzi- really bad! had no taste at all. never had such a bad paneer dish. 1/5

bhindi and onions- this one was decent. i could finish all of it and tasted alright. 3.5/5

chapatis- soft and nice. 4/5

jeera rice- good but they can give more quantity. 4/5

dal fry- the most bland dal topped with a bed of fried onions. 1/5

gulab jamun- never had such a bad gulab jamun ever. the jamuns were literally prepared in oil which had been probably used several times. it tasted of stale and stinky oil. 0/5

pros-:

1) family type of restaurant.
2) ambiance is good.
3) soft chapatis.
4) bhindi veggie was good.

cons-:

1) paneer, gulab jamun and dal were not at all upto the mark.
2)veglollipop had excessive oil.
3) gulab jamun was cooked in stale and stinky oil.
4) service was a bit slow.

will i come here again? i'd stick to the pune/mumbai branch and wouldn't come here.

the go to place if you wanna have rich indian (marwari) food! even though it’s not as comparable to its original mumbai outlet, the place serves good purevegfood. my personal favourites are their thali, bittle chhaass and papar chura. the place is a lil crammed up and lacks parking facility as well as card payments which is a lil disappointing.

had heard the name but wasn't able to recall exactly, so thought of trying anyway. it is located just besides the city center mall. location is good. seating space is not very big, overall very clean. the menu is vast and has good variety of both starters and main course, prices are average. we were visiting for the first time so we decided to stick to very generic curries, we orderedvegkohlapuri, panner bhurji dry, tawa butter roti's, dal fry and plain rice. the taste was better than expected, specially thevegkolhapuri, paneer bhurji was ok, roti's were served hot will lots of butter, so after the first butter roti we ordered a plain one and used the excess butter for it..ha..ha. the dal was a little different with lots of fried onion in it. we also asked for some green chillies which they nicely served in glass with water in it. for dessert we ordered rabri which ok but didn't have that freshness.the overall dining experience was pleasant the service was also fast, the taste and quantity i felt was good value for money.
