p hotel bhagat tarachand

so, i have tried the bhagat tarachand outlet in pune and found it reasonably alright. i, however, did not like the food served here. following summarizes the review of this place.

ambiance- a well lighted, family place with ample seating for 10 families on the ground floor. there was a first floor but that seemed to be closed down. ambiance was alright and nothing wrong in it. 4/5

service- service was good as in the waiter knew the menu well. however, i found the service a little slow. probably they were low on cooking staff. 3.5/5

food- we ordered mainly thalis for all and one single starter separately.

veg lollipop- it was simply like a veg manchurian with too much oil, spices and ample pieces of the veg lollipop. it was nothing special as such. you can get this at any random place. 3/5

thali- the thali consisted of the following-:

paneer ki sabzi- really bad! had no taste at all. never had such a bad paneer dish. 1/5

bhindi and onions- this one was decent. i could finish all of it and tasted alright. 3.5/5

chapatis- soft and nice. 4/5

jeera rice- good but they can give more quantity. 4/5

dal fry- the most bland dal topped with a bed of fried onions. 1/5

gulab jamun- never had such a bad gulab jamun ever. the jamuns were literally prepared in oil which had been probably used several times. it tasted of stale and stinky oil. 0/5

pros-:

1) family type of restaurant.
2) ambiance is good.
3) soft chapatis.
4) bhindi veggie was good.

cons-:

1) paneer, gulab jamun and dal were not at all upto the mark.
2) veg lollipop had excessive oil.
3) gulab jamun was cooked in stale and stinky oil.
4) service was a bit slow.

will i come here again? i'd stick to the pune/mumbai branch and wouldn't come here.

for 300 rs per jain thali the food was very less and not upto the mark!!!

great place to have a proper lunch or dinner with your family. the food is really delicious. i strongly recommend it to everyone specially people that loves ghee wala khana.

the go to place if you wanna have rich indian (marwari) food! even though it’s not as comparable to its original mumbai outlet, the place serves good pure veg food. my personal favourites are their thali, bittle chhaass and papar chura. the place is a lil crammed up and lacks parking facility as well as card payments which is a lil disappointing.

recently had thali in hotel bhagat tarachand..! must say it has that delightful taste through which they have earned this fame..! for me game changer was "moong dal ka halwa" ❤ which is served hot dipped fully in ghee with pinch of saffron and abundant dry fruits..definately a lip-smacking dish💫

perfect place to have food in raipur. you get quality food over here. my favourite is dal khichdi, also they got pani-puri & sev-puri counter over there.

had heard the name but wasn't able to recall exactly, so thought of trying anyway. it is located just besides the city center mall. location is good. seating space is not very big, overall very clean. the menu is vast and has good variety of both starters and main course, prices are average. we were visiting for the first time so we decided to stick to very generic curries, we ordered veg kohlapuri, panner bhurji dry, tawa butter roti's, dal fry and plain rice. the taste was better than expected, specially the veg kolhapuri, paneer bhurji was ok, roti's were served hot will lots of butter, so after the first butter roti we ordered a plain one and used the excess butter for it..ha..ha. the dal was a little different with lots of fried onion in it. we also asked for some green chillies which they nicely served in glass with water in it. for dessert we ordered rabri which ok but didn't have that freshness.the overall dining experience was pleasant the service was also fast, the taste and quantity i felt was good value for money.

food here is great.. papad churi is a must try here.. special thali has limited food but enough for 2 people with average diet... do try the khamba chaas that they provide in kingfisher's bottle... place is a little congested and is a waiting time always, so better call before and book the table for lesser wait time..

good place for vegetarian food , nice staff service and ambience , good to go with family .here special thali consists of nice variety of meal and sweets price was affordable.

its a good place for normal food if you really love butter they put a lot in everything... its good by wont please your tastebuds , do try there matha

the best place for lunch and dinner for vegetarian. food is delicious and quality is ultimate. must go to have experience of quality food. i enjoyed it
