refined but very delicious. my brioche was phenomenal - sweet, buttery and flakey without being dry. it was my first but so far my best brioche! they take care with every choice of ingredient and with the presentation of all of their menu items, their interior design, service and with the baked goods and specialty foods they offer. my latte was very enjoyable as well. my only complaints are that it's expensive and that you can't linger over your meal... there's just too many people lined up to get in!

i was a fan of o&g, but.... but it getting really too expensive. i was there weekly for a business breakfast. it always been good quality food, but service is not that good and price really too high.

from now on, it will be once in a while.

we had the asparagus sandwich and the vegan sandwich. ended with mocha and strawberry shortcake. excellent lunch. process for ordering and paying a bit confusing for a first timer but totally worth the confusion. next time we're going to get baked goods to go.

with the taste of summer lingering on our tongues we left olive and gourmando’s with pleasant thoughts and an imminent desire to return.

... it was pretty good, a slice of ham and a slice of roast pork with cheese and some spread, a bit spicy but in the end, too much spread made very strong and over powering.

dee-lish!. though olive et gourmando may not be for picky children, many people will find happiness when eating there. the wait is long, but well worth it. bright walls, hip decorations, and, of course, flavorful food welcome the crowd in. though small and at some points crowded, i strongly recommend eating at olive et gourmando. try the croissant, palmier, and something new to you.

located on the corner of rue st. pierre and rue st. paul, olive gourmando is one of those charming corner cafés and bakeries, serving up some of the best breads and pastries in the city. famous for their brownies and renowned for their brioche*, it's the perfect saturday spot to indulge in a little comfort sugar. i myself skip over there every weekend to grab a scone ($3) (ohhh cherry ginger scone, i love you...) and a latté, though they are currently experimenting with different coffee companies in an effort to find the perfect, socially conscious brand, so don't be surprised if you find a slight variation in the beans between visits. *if you are in want of pure decadence, try the brioche érable pacanes ($3.75), its fantastic. if pastries won't suffice and you are in want of something more substantial for brunch, try their poached egg on your face ($8.95), a cheese, prosciutto and poached egg concoction sandwiched between their house bio bread. olive gourmando also serves up lunch

tomatoes, cuban chicken, guacamole - this one had a slight kick to it after a few bites.

yum. went for the mac & cheese :) and love it! a little pricey for a casual lunch (20$+)

blah and expensive. i was expecting much more for this bakery since it was ranked in the top 10. your usual breads, sandwiches and salads. except you pay 9.95$ + taxes for a panini, 6-9$ for salad (appetizer size)... pretty ridiculous for the typ of food you are getting. i wouldn't go back.

will give them a second chance soon!. i've heard so many great things about olive & gourmando.
we tried their famous brownies tonight: great texture and coffee taste. unfortunetaly, the chocolate chip cookies were overbaked and desappointing...
overcrowded too even at 3:30 pm, not very pleasant!
will definitely give them a second chance tough!

fantastic. great food, great lunch crowd...... a little bit more of a "scene" than when it opened 12 years ago with one coffee machine on the counter, but i love it now and i loved it then. congrats on the success!!!

there is a spot in the old port where people willingly line up, no matter the weather or time of day, just to get a chance to sit down and eat the food at olive & gourmando. i had been once before just to grab some food to go, but never had an actual meal

disappointing. we went there because of all the positive reviews and the mention in the lonely planet. we were disappointed. true - it was pricey and the queues were long. was it worthwhile? no. the food was very average and you can do better for less elsewhere in montreal.
