greek cravings satisfied. stopped in for dinner early saturday. in the midst of the tornado damage to cahaba heights, olive branch stands unharmed and serving the community and visitors and they rebuild. i couldn't resist the gyro on toasted pita with the tabbouleh. so warm and savory. i ordered the spicy grapeleaves and the new menu item fried cauliflower with lemon. delicious! service is excellent and the new deck space will be packed when this area of alabama remembers it's may.
if you are at the summit shopping and want the best greek food birmingham has to offer, and want to skip the long waits at summit restaurants, go out the back way of the summit, to olive branch. this is a local family owned gem. very casual, very casual dress. alwaysgreatvalue

we have eaten here several times and the food is just amazing and the service is always on point, personal, and welcoming. the owner often visits the table to see how you are doing to check on how your meal is going, very smart and very welcoming. we rave about the falafels they are the best we’ve ever had, so fresh and full of flavor, the gyro is amazing and we love the way the grill it with some crispy edges a real treat. the chicken dishes aregreatthe chicken is always tender cooked perfect and full of flavor. the steak kabob is one of my favorites, they use a quality cut and it is so tender and full of flavor. the atmosphere is charming and we love it when the weather is good because they have an amazing patio with agreatview of the area. all the staff here is great, but we always ask for jennifer, she’s wonderful and so attentive and knows the menu backwards. and we always say hello to the kitchen staff, with the open kitchen it’s easy to do and they do such agreatjob!!

the small place reminds me of a nyc restaurant with its small tables and tight quarters. this is a family run place where mama stuffs the squash every day and it shows in the quality of food. frankly, if this was the only time i've been here this wouldn't be the best of reviews as this was not one of the best meals i've had here but i've eaten there many times and know it's agreatplace.

the stuff squash is a specialty but the gyro, chicken, kibbeh .... it's all good served professionally with a reasonable prices. try their homemade salad dressing or the tabouli. this is a good place with good food i highly recommend it.

best grape leaves in town!. you can get stuffed grape leaves, or dolmades, at many places throughout birmingham, but the experience is often hit or miss. this delicacy can suffer from mushy rice, being served cold, or not including any meat. not so at the olive branch! every time you order stuffed grape leaves here, they are fantastic, and supercede any other grape leaves served locally. they also have stuffed squash, a rad, spicy gyro, falafel with a kick, the delectable steak-in-a-sack sandwich, and excellent humus. skip markarios, the pita stop, and the purple onion. come to the olive branch forgreatmediterranean food, and attentive seervice!

olive branch is my favorite place. my husband, kids and i love this place..everything is great..kids love the gyro's..i love the chicken kabob , husband switches it up with the lamb kabob and gyro special..tons of food..love all the people who work there..just agreatplace withgreatfood..i have tried all the other greek/mediterranean places in town and this is by far the best..the taziki sauce is hands down the best around..try the baba ganoush you will not be disappointed..

on par food,greatservice. went to eat here because it has one of the highest ratings i have ever seen, and has been rated several times. thought this place must be awesome, or they must be stuffing the ballot box. turns out i was wrong on both. the place is not awesome, it is however, good. it is good in every sense of the word. i had no disappointments in the service or in the food. however, it was just good. i wasn't wowed by anything i ate. all that being said, there were a ton of people and no one seemed to be disappointed. having just moved here, i fear there are no truly awesome greek restaurants in birmingham, but this one is the best i have been to thus far.

wonderful food, wine, and service. my husband and i have tried all of the mediterranean cuisine restaurants in birmingham and this is by far our favorite. there aregreatprices on the glasses of wine, the food is amazing and so reasonably priced, and the service was outstanding. we ended our evening with a piece of pistachio baklava and i can not wait to get back and get some more!! the atmosphere is comfortable and can be romantic for a date or more casual for a quick dinner out. definitely one of our new favorite spots in birmingham for dinner.

this was the first time eating here for my husband and i. it was suggested by a friend that has been. the waitress was really nice and fast. we got stuffed grape leaves (first time). they were surprisingly good. very distinct taste. we would get them again. my husband got the gyro special with fries. the sauce was different cause we were expecting the tazaki sauce. it was really good though and the lamb was good as well. i got the gyro lunch special that came with hummus, pitas, and a side- i picked tabouli. i think i'd rather have a small side of that instead of a large portion and have a greek salad instead. but i just topped a pita off with lamb, hummus, and tabouli with a piece of onion. all together, it was agreatlunch. we definitely will be back.

absolutely amazing food and service. food came out in a timely manner and food was also displayed well.greatdeal as well. ten dollars gets you a meal the could almost feed two. two big thumbs up.

delicious fare. my wife and i went to dinner last night and were definitely fans. i had the grilled kafta sandwich and she had the gyro deluxe. both were quite large sandwiches and tasted very good. for a quality sandwich i think the prices are quite reasonable. we will be going back for sure. also, the location isgreatas doodle's is right next door for some dessert.

a favorite!. upon moving to b'ham 2 years ago, we kept noticing a crowd of cars at olive branch. also noticed patrons recognizing others in the parking lot so then knew "locals" were dining here. we decided to try it. upon arrival, we were immediately impressed when 4 waters and 2 ice cold beers suddenly appeared at an empty table next to us. within about a minute, sure enough, the patrons (2 young couples) for that reserved table arrived...with.ice cold beverages ready for consumption! now, that is service!!! i ordered the beef kabobs (waiter explained the beef was filet mignon) and it was wonderful! this restaurant truly is one of the best kept secrets in birmingham!! service is great, food isgreatand it is locally owned! my husband eat out almost every weekend at restaurants in the $$ - $$$ category, with once a weekend at a $$$$ restaurant and this is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in town! our only wish, albeit a minor, is that they would "upscale" the place a little bit....make a nicer bar area, adjust wall seat to proper height to table and upgrade the exterior...it would be so easy to do without a lot of cost.. but even without it........this is definitely a place you don't want to miss!! we'll keep coming back without a doubt!!!

cahaba heights best!!. consistently delicious,greatfood, freindly quick service and now the outdoor seating perfect for lunch - kabob or chicken special plate comes with humus , generous portions of tabouli with real goat cheese, yum yum yum i rank it best in area.
