a top bbq place in the tulsa area. sides are good and meat is always tender and moist. hubby comes just for the fried okra.. its a whole piece not the slices, and is apparently delicious.

easy to find.  there was a line but it moved quickly.  the staff was very friendly and our food was delivered promptly.  coming from okc where there are lots of bbq places, i was expecting a little more from this championship team.  the brisket was on the verge of being dry even with the addition of their sauce.  it was also very chewy.  there was a smoke ring but i couldn't really taste any smoke flavor.  the beans were a surprise.  not your typical bbq beans.  not much flavor but my husband thought they were okay.  the potato salad was fine. if you ever are going to okc, check out any of the swadleys locations and skip okie joes.  p.s. i am not affiliated with swadleys in any way..

ribs and chicken. we ate at oklahoma joe's a couple of weeks ago on a saturday around 11:15am. they weren't too busy yet, but filled up by noon. i had the 1/2 slab rib meal and she ordered the 1/2 chicken. both meals were very good. the meats were well cooked, flavorful and moist. we liked their beans, and slaw as well.

we couldn't finish everything so i got another meal out of it, no complaints at all. i reheated the meats in the oven - covered in foil at 325 for about 15 minutes, came out great! total cost about $20 for essentially 3 meals and well worth it.

great food!. first time here and really liked it. they aren't lying about good ribs! they were excellent! so was the brisket. beans were very different but good. the other 4 guys i was with all raved about how good their food was too. so no complaints from 5 out of 5 at our table. friendly service and a nice clean place. i usually like small shack type bbq places, this had a corporate feel to it, more like an applebees or red lobster, but the food was way better than both of those. i was scared at first, but the food made up for the lack of character of the building.

i visited ok joes a couple days ago and the food as usual is always good. there is a older lady who is fairly new i believe and not that friendly. i asked for a couple of bbq sauces for my sandwich and while she was pouring the sauce she got it on her fingers and then kicked her fingers and put the lid on the sauce. i was a little disgusted by this , then after she does that she walks up to me and another customer ands says" wow i shouldn't have licked that sauce off my fingers it is hot". i love the food and the place as a whole but this lady needs some food handling skills.

great bbq. burnt ends and pulled pork is awesome.

the new loco bbq sauce is awesome. the new hot links from siegis not as good as the old ones were, they seem a little tough to me. now the loco sauce on burnt ends = :)

not as good as kc. first time we ate there our food was cold. the second time was better but i think back alley bbq downtown is better. joes needs to have mustard potato salad instead of mayo in my opinion. prices are pretty high too.

freaking awful!. if this is the best bbq in town than the other other places must really suck!
don't waist your time on this crud he really need to take down all those banners too, he may be opening himself to a false advertising suit.

great sides!. on a recent visit to tulsa, we tried ok joe's bbq for take-out. wow! yes! yum! we had the chopped brisket and the pulled pork - both of which were excellent. they were not dry. the smokey flavor did not overpower the meat. we had the baked beans and coleslaw and were even more impressed. i usually don't expect much from the sides. at other bbq joints around the country, the side are an afterthought. not at ok joes! the beans were some of the best i've ever had: 3 types of beans in a sweet, spicey sauce.

too expensive. for what you get, the food is on the pricey side. i took a few friends there for dinner one night and our tab was over $50. you can get the same or better quality at rib crib for less money. my brisket was dry but i did like the sauce, but i had to use a lot to counter act the dry. my friend didn't like the ribs at all. he said they tasted like plastic.
