o'dowd's little dublin

the food was decent and came out pretty quickly for it being a weekend day. theservicecould have been a little better. we tried more of the traditional irish fair. i liked what i got which was the boxty, the fish and chips were tasty, but the other things i tried were just ok. i would say go try it if your in the mood for irish food and see for yourself.

a relaxing sunday lunch!. we visited on sunday afternoon, so we did not have to witness the party. the food was good and theservicewas fast. the guinness steak boxty was both authentic and awesome.

mmm...reuben.... okay, so we didn't start off great here - theservicewas a little slow, to say the least. but the ambiance and beer selection made up for it. i just wouldn't plan on getting in and out really quickly. i had a reuben sandwich and my companion had a shepherd's pie. both were outstanding. i wouldn't have minded a little more corned beef on my sandwich, but what i did have was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of thousand island and sauerkraut, topped with melting swiss. it's in the country club plaza, which can cause parking headaches, tourist crowds at certain times and often overly priced items, but we had good food, two beers a piece, for less than 40 bucks with tip. a little pricey, but add in the live irish music (not the riverdance kind, luckily), and the evening was lovely.
