the cafe with a cause- nukkad tea official!

tea initiates conversations, we all know that right? but this place is a place where tea initiates programs and social changes too.
presenting the nukkadteaofficial, located at jalvihar, close to marine drive, raipur. they have total four outlets here in raipur, they started with samta colony in 2013. the main motive of the place was empowering the differently abled people as well as, making a venture which is worthwhile with a cause. started by two young entrepreneurs, priyank patel and tupesh. every cafe had a new cause to serve. a new workplace for the deaf and dumb people, transgenders, mentally retarded and other differently abled people. the tea is very good here. also, the starters are a must try.

nukkad teafe is an institution in itself in raipur. it's well known for employing people from the marginalised sections of the society as servers (deaf/mute/transgender).

it's a quaint little cafe with bohemian vibes, scattered with low seating, fairy lights and buddhist flags (the ones you get in ladakh). one wall is decorated with a mural of a tea stall. the place is always filled with people.

i ordered for a jaggery tea and samosa pizza (which is like a pizza mcpuff). the food is decent and was served hot. i just wish the samosa had more filling.

if you are looking for quick bites and a chill place to hang out, this is a good option in raipur.

nukkad, an elegant place indeed. thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome.

place is always full of people, looking for a space to get “down to earth” quite literally.

to elaborate things, we ordered cold coffee, and a cheese chutney sandwich from the menu, and we added sweet corn chaat along with it later on. both were quick and easy snacks, light on the stomach heavy on the taste buds. the sandwich specifically was very light and tasted great 👍🏻. the chaat was served in the end and oh so well, it was warm due to the sweet corns and it tasted just fine.

whether you’re going with your friends or your partner or your family, it’s a nice place to be. the menu is elaborate so you get plenty of options for everyone be it tea(s), coffee(s) or snacks. just note you’ll be sitting on the floor, which is fun in itself. 😀

this place was a surprise to me in raipur. my visit to the city and i circled down this place for dinner.

the ambience is very joyous and colourful. we got our table on the first floor which was pretty comfortable. reading the menu you realise it is no ordinary cafe. it is a very special initiative by a gentleman, where people employed here are specially challenged, from a dwarf or transgender community. this is something to appreciate.

service was very quick and easy. food was delicious. everything here feels good.

all i can say is, i left this place with a smile. hats off to the owner and each one of the employee here.

great taste some of dishes worth trying are lovely corn, maggie, pizza drinks include mojito, cold coffee really loved the taste.....amazing ambience really good view for photos.....nice service...must try..one of my favourite restaurant to dine in

not being biased, the place has appalling interiors and mini games to get you engaged. the food is pretty normal. the uniqueness of this place is that all workers here are specially abled. i have tried basic veg sandwich and cold coffee. the place is much more famous for the kinds of tea they serve. do check them out of you are a fan of tea.

pretty is the first word that comes in my mind! this place is run by deaf people, and they are the sweetest hosts. the cafe has such a relaxing vibe where you leave your shoes outside, sit down on the flooring and enjoy the food! come to the food - it is even more amazing than the ambience. the maggie i had there might as well be the best maggie i've ever had. the shakes, the bhurji... every single dish was a delight. must visit when in raipur!

great concept. the cafe has hired differently abled people. there is a concept if you leave your phone at the counter you get 10% discount. well i loved it because we submitted our phones and to be honest we could enjoy our games and chat. everything on the menu has been tried and the food is great so is the service. thank you nukkad for great experience.
