thursday may 10th. ohhh, i did not like this place. i was seated and bread was delivered, the server turned his back as he was delivering the bread so was unable to order drinks or hors d'ouevres. went to the bar to order a bottle of wine (excellent wine and the bar tender was nice and apologetic). the bartender sent a server and i ordered edamame which was pretty bad. it tasted freezer burned and the beans were starchy. we were seated outside with a table less than a foot away from us. throughout the evening, we were knocked as people walked between the tables to enter the restaurant. about the time we were ready to order our main entrees, the only other outside diners were seated at the table that was less than 12 inches away from us. there was no way to have an intimate conversation with the only diners that close and there was not enough ambient noise to keep our conversation private. we decided to pay our bill and go elsewhere for dinner. walked around the corner and spent ~150.00 on a lovely meal. i wanted to like this place because zionsville could use some goodsushibut it is a major amateur operation.

didn't change my life...but it was okay. thesushiwas decent, not up to par with thesushiin sf or at h2o in broad ripple, but it was okay. the oysters were nice and seemed fresh. the sides were decent. we had the lobster mac and cheese and another that was not memorable. the experience was decent, but not incredible. i'd go back and choose noah gran'ts over any other restaurant in zionsville.

the meal was fantastic (sans the salad) and i would absolutely recommend an evening at the restaurant. they have a happy hour that i would be interested in trying. i would return just to keep eating thesushiand raw bar options – it was divine and is truly a hidden gem in the downtown area of zionsville. lastly, the halibut cheeks shouldn’t be a special – it should definitely be made a permanent menu option as it is now hubby’s favorite food.

i don’t know, maybesushiis the way to go here, a lot of people seemed to be ordering it. but based on our meal, and the drive, it will likely be awhile before we go back.

what was i thinking?. from the solicitious hostess to charming server, this stop is spot on for seafood. the oysters were super fresh and the seasonal soft shell crabs outstanding. i found the sake to be a little pricey but overall, the price points were to be expected. a little overly ambitious:too many times a restarant tries to be all things to all people. if you're getting great seafood, why not add asushibar? wrong wrong wrong. thesushirice, the best indicator if quality sushi, was undercooked and looked like it had been cut, not hand shaped for our nigiri. of course bad rice will ruin even the best intendedsushiroll, and a sashimi option may have resulted in the equally overly large and obviously hacked up pieces on our original order. i would go again, they apparenlty have a $1 oyster special but please please take thatsushimess off the menu

loved it. best steaks!. i've visited noah grant's a dozen times this past year and have had a few times where i felt my server was too busy; but the last 4 or 5 times, i've had fantastic service. their steaks are on the mark, the sides are way better than grandma ever could dream of, and i'm a big fan of their $1 oyster specials. my wife is in love with their salmon and my 2 boys stick withsushi& meatloaf! worth a visit for sure!
