a perfect place to hangout with friends and have chit -chat , located on third floor near to escalators . ambience is good and has sight to enjoy the the view of mall courtyard !!
enjoyed their signatory dish waffle with nutella and whipped cream
love their sandwiches too!!
excellent work on menu , lots of varieties to eat but heavy on pockets !!
overall a good experience

nice bakery and cafe. specifically i love the caramel toffee and mostly enter niks only for this.

the snacks are good to average and the bakery items but for the dry cakes are sort of the same. but then - do we have many more options in chandigarh - monica's is perhaps as good or bad as niks.

i visited the elante mall outlet and was pleasantly surprised. we tried their velvet cake and mushroom panini - both were awesome. then we also ordered a chilii cheese toast and that was pretty average. the coffee was warm and well made - however the quantity was a bit too much. wish they would introduce smaller sizes at slightly lesser rates. would like to visit again :-)

nik baker's is a place which is pretty different in its ambience. i have been to the elante mall's outlet and i liked it.
the menu has a wide variety and its a pretty good place for people with a sweet tooth. the food served is of top quality and you just can't resist looking at the desserts displayed in the showcase. protein shakes in the menu was a different thing and for fitness freaks its a good place to be.

only negative point is the high pricing. i recommend the pies and pastas.

the prices of niks stuff has been increasing i guess every week now.when he started ,a vanilla tea cake was for 55rs and over time now it's for 255rs.some increase is okay but now most of his stuff is not worth the money even though it's up to the mark taste wise,a normal bakery makes the same things still for 55rs.his quality had seen a little decline too.

very disappointed with the food and service at nik bakers in elante. ordered a pizza and at first it took 45 mins to get the pizza ready after correcting the wrong order taken. the vegetables were literally thrown raw on the pizza and barely grilled. i didn't order salad on the pizza. i definitely didn't expect this. the pizza slice at local bakery shop tastes better than what was served.. the whipped cream on shake and coffee was not done properly.. it had butter chunks in it..all this wasn't enough, after i gave a feedback lot of attitude was shown by the manager there.

the best thing here is quality.. if you have lots of money then this is a good place to buy bakery items.. the biscuits are too good.. so are the breads... the cream cakes are their signature product.. i found the shake average... overall, a decent place..

another happy visit to nik's :d

i have been visiting nik's regularly since last two years and i'm glad they maintained their quality and standard. not even once i returned with disappointment.

this is all about my first visit to nik's outlet at elante mall .

we went to nik's to buy some cookies from the bakery section.

while i was busy in cookies , my bhabhi ordered a fruit punch , lemonade ( i didn't remember the exact name.. oops :o ) and veg kathi roll for both of us .

fruit punch was amazing as always :d ( was full didn't tried anything else .. )
as per bhabhi , both, lemonade drink and kathi roll were good . she liked it .

so all in all ,it was a good experience at nik's.

try blueberry cheesecake at nik's , you gonna love it ! :))

the most pathetic niks baker of town... if sector 35 is the best in india then ellante one is the worst.. most awefull nachos...

so finally i had my first visit to nik's (i don't live in chandigarh, so that explains the delayed "first visit"). anyway, better late than never ;) it's a lovely cafe and the wall with all the food pictures looks wonderful! we went there for a late breakfast, which eventually became our brunch :p we ordered a chicken ciabatta, a slice of newyork pizza, choc mint shake, caramel cappuccino and a slice of walnut pie. both ciabatta and pizza slice were served with some fries.

chicken ciabatta was really good. i loved the flavour and it tasted even better with the mustard sauce.
the newyork pizza will definitely be repeated on my next visit! the toppings had chicken, ham, bacon and salami and boy!! it was over loaded! the base was excellent! neither hard nor soggy! just perfect! and the cheese also was used adequately! next time, it will be the whole medium pizza for me and not just a slice!
coming to the beverages, i liked the choc mint shake. it had that after taste of mint, which was refreshing for me ;) and yea, it was filling!! the cappuccino was the usual good, nothing extraordinary to mention about it :p
and as soon as we were through with our meal, we were served hot walnut pie. they should warn their guests before one takes a bit of those hot pies!!! i somehow just swallowed my first bite. it was too hot to let it stay in my mouth anymore. so i took some time with the pie and then had a bite and it was filled with walnuts!! the texture and flavour were good but i could not finish it and got it packed. and when i had it the next day, it still tasted good! so nik definitely has quality products.

the service is good and the staff was nice! overall, my first visit was great and will definitely go there again. soon..very soon...

my love for nik baker's just continues to grow. being a frequent visitor at the 35 sector outlet, a friend and i couldn't resist it at elante either. ordering a paneer tikka pizza slice, a chilli cheese toast, 2 cold coffees and a lemon tart, we sat down to enjoy the meal.
while at it, the friend of mine was carelessly stirring her coffee with her straw to mix the chocolate settled at the bottom and ended up spilling the full glass all over herself and the floor! it was a mess and we were very embarrassed. but what happened next pretty much bowled us over. the waiter came and very politely asked us to leave that table and make ourselves comfortable on another clean one. not only that, they also got us another cold coffee for free! aah, how small acts of hospitality can win your heart!
the pizza slice was alright, chilli cheese toast was nice and crunchy, the lemon tart was good but could have been better. i couldn't finish it even though i wasn't that full!
still, major love for nik bakers!

not to mislead anyone into believing that i don't like nik's - i love it!!
my mum loves her walnut cake from there, i have my lemon cake and the standard birthday cake in our household at chandigarh is the cappuccino cake! oh, it is to die for!!

this time we ordered 2 cakes for my masi's birthday - pineapple & of course cappuccino.

the pineapple cake was the biggest disappointment ever! i have never seen so much cream on a cake - the top layer had a 2 mm thick (or thin) layer of cake and the cream on top of that was over 1 inch thick! just couldn't eat it. far too creamy for anyone to eat! the toasted, flaked almonds on the sides were the only saving grace on that cake!

the cappuccino cake - taste wise was spot on! the only unnecessary part was this fortress of white chocolate slabs that covered the cake all around. really not tasty. it felt like eating milky bar straight out of the packet.

now, don't get me wrong, i am a through and through nik's fan! i have those "chicken nachos" and "blueberry cheese cake" pangs on a regular basis. and nik's is where we usually end up for a lack of decisiveness skills that range from novice to god mode in my friend circle! also, all the birthday parties are adorned with a nik cake. so, obviously, when in elante, i was spoiled for choice, i picked nik. my friends who are relatively new to chandigarh were excited to try out the place too.
an order of nacho's, a chocolate doughnut, chocolate brownie and blueberry cheese cake (on my recommendation) later, we sat there waiting for it expectantly. i build up such a hype for the food, especially the heavenly cheesecake.
as if punishing me for speaking too early, all the food items miserably failed at the altar of our expectations. the nacho's were not there usual self with avocado and some other ingredients missing. the chocolate brownie and doughnut were just average. but the major letdown was the cheesecake. it just didn't taste right. my friend was so disappointed that she actually made it a point to bring this to the notice of the manager, who decided to keep mum about it.
the place really needs to buck up, polish its services and vigor to keep the patrons satisfied!
