worst restaurant ever. nico's in carrollton are the most unscrupulous business people ever! the totally ruined our holiday party tonight. they agreed in advance to provide our party of 20-25 people with happy hour drink specials past happy hour time (which they did honor) and provide us with complimentary appetizers. we do these events every quarter and will not go to a place that doesn't offer us something for free, so we would not have agreed to have our party there, had they not agreed to this in advance. i confirmed this on the phone today and with our server, who was the one the party was booked with & offered these things in the first place, who both told me yes the appetizers were complimentary. however, when the bills came, they charged us for everything!!!!! i explained the situation and they did absolutely nothing....well, except argue with us and threaten to call the police! we are reasonable people and had they offered to compromise to any extent, i'm certain that would have been sufficient. but no, they were not going to do anything. i asked to speak with the manager, they said he wasn't there and wasn't reachable via phone. someone in our group ended up paying, just so we could get out of there (thank you to that nice person). as we were leaving the little woman behind the cash register, tells us then that she is the manager. funny, she never mentioned that the 15 times i asked to speak with the manager earlier. the food is not bad, but not great. but there are 25 people and their extensive network of friends and family, who are all long time carrollton residents, that will never ever darken the door of this horrid establishment again. please tell everyone you know to never ever visit this restaurant. see the ladies post below....clearly this is standard business practice for them.
