nico asian bar & café

hello friends.. i happen to visit this place with obvious high expectations for the brand and it totally satisfied me. even though it had limited veg options.. they serve a complete 3 course meal for every taste bud you have.

when the mushroom taco dosa was a perfect fusion of indo western culture and food.. it was delicious and filling to the stomach.

the small veg burger was too cute to eat and was extremely crunchy and yum.

you all know my heart always goes to the dessert.
the mango cocktail and rasberry mocktail was so colourful and the making of it made me felt joy like a baby..
last but not the least...

the frozen madras filtercoffeeliterally stole my heart and i left it behind to visit again.

nico is a contemporarycoffeehouse / bar that has a beautiful decor and a very warm, cozy ambience!

being a group of 4-5 people, we tried almost everything on their food menu and were amazed by what they had to offer - that “wow” moment! dining at a bar, we got high on food rather than alcohol i would say.

we started off with their kal dosa tacos and tried the chilli mushroom soya and guntur chilli chicken variants. loved the flavour and spices of guntur chicken taco.

next, we moved on to the sliders (small hamburgers). we chose to go with some delicious russian vegetable and herbed chicken for the patty. the patty was super flavoursome and succulent. the buns were also fresh and made in-house.

we also tried their prawn tempura. this was heavenly and was to die for. it was definitely cooked to absolute perfection.

next inline was a droolsome mezze platter consisting of pita bread with baba ganoush hummus, labneh and fattoush. the pita bread was thin, crisp and crunchy than the usual. loved the labneh dip the best.

next came some heavenly nacho. these were crisp, crunchy inhouse tortillas served with salsa and a paprika dip. perfect is the word.

last was the angara murgh tikka. the meat was tender and juicy and served with onions, tomatoes and peppers for a brilliant punch.

nico also offers a wide range of alcohol based drinks, coffees and pastries. loved the house special madras frozen filter coffee.

this cafe is very much recommended for its droolsome food and service.

nicocoffeehouse and bar is an new addon to novotel(omr).

this restro bar have an very good ambience.interior was awesome.very big place for dinning and buffet place also very neat, clean and also have more spacious.
bar also located very near to buffet place.inside a bar the lighting was low which makes you to feel like a pub.

the people who have interested in alcohol and food this nico definitely fulfill ur mind set. lots of varieties in cocktails includes foreign ,local brands, mocktails.the dj sets and live music also there for fun and also makes you to feel chill.

in buffet also more than 50 + dishes in both veg and non-veg ,fruits, cakes, sweets, ice cream and lots...for foodies this is more than enough to taste....

this place is more suitable for weekend hangovers 😍
we tried 4 mocktails and some veg starters all are good taste...😍

this nico have an valet parking so no worries for parking slot problems

they need to improve lighting in dinning areas and should fast their service

finally my rating for this nico is 4⭐⭐⭐⭐

thiscoffeehouse is the latest addition in novotel omr

location - located just before the sholinganalur junction while coming from thuraipakkam.

parking - valet parking is available so no worries.

ambience - it's acoffeehouse cum bar located very near to their buffet place. the ambience is low lit with live music on weekends. they also have working space for professionals.

they have a book shelf with some interesting books for nerds. you can even sit outside thecoffeebar in the buffet restaurant area.

drinks, food - they got a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails served in glass and pitchers. if you are around omr and you wanna relax in a decent place, head to them.

they served yummy lambslider, teriyaki chicken, mini dosa with shrimps as sides for the drinks. we tried cranberry and orange based mocktails. our friends were satisfied with the drinks and cocktails. we also had the chance to see the preparation of flaming shots.

their tea andcoffeemenu is economical compared to the drinks.

service - service was bit slow though.

if you are looking for a place to unwind after a hectic day at work or just looking out to chill and hang out with your friends look no further than nico coffeehouse and bar at novotel, omr. thecoffeehouse also doubles up as a bar and when we visited they had a live band belting out some soulful numbers which can set the tone for a long night.

opened on 1st february 2019, they serve cool mock-tails and cocktails. beer in pitchers is passe, they serve beer as pints or in bucket and liquor like vodka, whiskey, brandy etc in measures as well as in cool hip flasks and also by the bottle at very reasonable prices. they also have a good selection of imported and indian made liquor to choose from. the bar tenders also can whip up some fancy cocktails.

i had the cosmopolitan and followed up with tequila and passion fruit shots which was quite pleasing to my palate. the bar tenders also put up quite a show with their specialty flaming shots with kahlua, bailey's irish cream and brandy on top which you can try just for the heck of it.

they also have a delectable array of finger food to go with the liquor like lamb slider, mini dosas filled with curried shrimps, toasted pita triangles with hummus mousse which was quite delightful to eat, squid and fish tempura etc

nico is the newly openedcoffeehouse and bar at novotel hotel,omr.
it is housed in the ground floor adjacent to their all day dining restaurant.
open plan with cozy interiors, low seating ,live music in the weekends make it an ideal watering spot where one can relax and grab a drink .
it also has co- working space so we can grab somecoffeeand pastries while working in salubrious surroundings.
they do offer discounted drinks so do make use of their offer on hard liquor.
i tried their bartender prosenjit's signature cocktail thai watermelon basil margarita served with a mini feta and cubed watermelon salad which was a winner.
their passion fruit / tequila shots tasted great though created a buzz after a sip.
i did try some short eats- mini dosas with curried shrimps,tempura squid,feta mousse on pita chips which were all good with drinks
