cleanest syrup bottle ever!. i've been there twice--both for breakfast. the cafe turns out a good breakfast and pretty fast. it is clean--how do i know? how many times have you ordered pancakes, waffles, or french toast and the server brings you a bottle of syrup that is simply nasty? the syrup bottle was clean and closed properly not spilling a drop!

the western omelet is good--i asked them to add jalapenos this morning and wow! it brought it up another notch. french toast was good.

it is a good place to eat breakfast!

went for breakfast. i've always been a big fan of pete's downtown. but i have i say his cousin cooking at nick and j's is better than pete's!

nick and js offers a simple menu extremely well executed. it's hard to find traditional diner food in knoxville, but this restaurant fills that void.

still got it!. rachel surprised me today with nick & jay's way burger. so good...and the lunch crowd show it. place was packed at 1115am. onion rings were some of the best anywhere.

excellent food and service. hamburger and fries some of the best i have ever had, and the strawberry cake was no doubt homemade and fresh strawberries were used. a must try place!

had breakfast for the first time today - solid service and food. had their omelette special 3 egger filled with bacon, ham, peppers and cheese. side item was a gravy biscuit. i'm still satiated 5 hours later. great service, really friendly. place was full the whole time on a rainy saturday morning even between brekkie and lunch time. so glad to have a legit diner 2 minutes down the road. can't wait to try their hamburgers.

oh my god!!! best food in town.if you haven't tried it, there is no way your life is complete! get there now, and sink your teeth into a steak-n-a-sack! i promise you, you won't regret it.

great food. i visit nick & j's on a regular basis. the food is excellent and they have the best fried okra especially when it is extra crispy. the service is always excellent & they make you feel at home. they have a good variety on their menu to choose from.
