nanak is situated on the main mall road and whilst trying to figure out where to eat, we tried nanak restaurant
we were not too happy with the restaurant
we tried
noodles - 2/5 - i think can prepare better noodles than this at home
masala dosa: 3/5 thedosaitself was crisp and good, but the sambas and chutney - not worthy a taste
honey chilli potato - 2/5
pizza - 4/5 was good better than the other items on the menu
pastries: 3/5 we tried looking for a cake at 8 pm on a friday, i guess that was me being too hopeful, hehe but we finally found pastries here at nanak restaurant

chole bhature was too yummy and burger,chowmein anddosawas extremely good!! the staff was good and services was very fast and speedy

food was very tasty fast delivery and the food was hot
schezwan noodles we're good pizza crust was softdosawas mouth watering and momo's were tasty i love it red chilly sauce was very good and spicy love it

the location is nice because its on mall road in front of the lake like many other restaurants around. the menu has south indian, chinese, punjabi etc. but i feel when you are in hill stations & small towns in northern part of india, one should try and stick to ordering north indian food or else there are high chances of being dissapointed. we did try adosawhich was quite ok. so we stuck to ordering punjabi dishes & we loved the food, the service was ok. one can try the place when in nainital.

the location is nice because its on mall road infront of the lake like many other restaurants. but that's not enough. came down to the restaurant for breakfast. order a plain dosa, aloo parantha and paneer uttapam.
thedosawas fine because what can go wrong in a paperdosabut the coconut chutney was runny and tasteless.
the paneer uttapam served without onions but jeera and paneer. the uttapam base was basically an open dosa. and same the chutney was runny and disgusting.
the aloo parantha was half cooked at first and covered in ghee. they cooked it again when we asked.

also ordered cold coffee - horrible is the word.

not recommended.
