they just don't seem to care, & now i don't either.. just do not understand the customer service mentality of some restaurants. they work hard to get you in their business and then seem to forget about what they need to do to keep you coming back.
we've been eating here and ordering takeout since they opened, and the food is always solid, if not spectacular, and the service has always been a little slow, especially on call in orders. we tolerated the slower service, and the priciness of some items, in the past, but not after today.
our order was phoned in at 11:02 and we were told 10 to 15 minutes. order wasn't ready at 11:15, turns out it hadn't even been started. they apparently had several to go orders, larger than ours that they were working on - though it is hard to imagine they were in house before ours since they don't open until 11 am. our order was still not ready by 11:25, and yet they were packaging up other take outs, and the owner was calmly sitting at a table, eating.
i finally ask for my money back, and was told the order was almost ready - i said i don't want the order, and demanded my money back, and finally did get it. if you tell me the order will be ready in a certain time frame, then i expect it to be ready, and not take twice as long as i was told.
the owner mentioned that they had some large take out orders they were working on. guess my 2 little sandwiches don't matter in the larger scheme of things for this restaurant. well, they wont have to worry about that in the future - this is a regular customer who will not be returning.

name has changed to mythos, same owners. this small place, maybe 15 tables & booths, is set up like a typical fast food restaurant, you place your order at the counter, get your drink & pay. this is not fast food like mcdonalds, most order are brought to the table in 10 minutes or less.
the prices are a little high: greek spaghetti with bread at $6.75, or a combo platter at $8.45, but the servings are ample. the combo platter contains a skewer of chicken souvlaki, a piece of gyro, a wedge of spanokopita, pita, tzatziki, and a double greek salad - this really is enough for two.
the chicken souvlaki is excellent, moist, flavorful, and grilled perfectly, with a nice brown crust. the spanokopita is light & airy, with a nice, fresh spinach taste.the tzatziki is delicious, among the best i've tasted - they add some sour cream to the yogurt (4:1) to thicken it a little. the double salad is huge with plenty of feta & olives, and terrific vinaigrette.
the piece of gyro was the only item i didn't care for - there was a spice or seasoning in it which i didn't like, and the consistency was strange, but the gyro meat served on a pita and fully dressed is quite good. the cheeseburger here is also excellent, as is the blt and the classic club.
the greek spaghetti was plentiful, came with meat sauce & feta, and bread. the color of the sauce was a little different, almost with some pink tones in it, but the taste was very good.
the service is excellent - they check with you to see that you're satisfied with your order, and to refresh your drink. they have a nice looking menu, with a variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta, mousaka, & pastitsio. i intend to try them all - i am a very patient person.
