awesome fried chicken! nice and straightforward menu. absolutely loved the garlic bread and would go back just for the bread haha.

i was amped to learn that a place in auckland was doing a full range of korean vegan fried chicken. holy crap the excited. i booked a day off work and made the journey over from the eastern suburbs.

it was a let down. the vegan chicken was more like tofu in crunchy batter.

they came with literally half bothered sesame seeds on them. they were’n’t prepared like you would expect. it wasn’t good.

ordered a whole chicken and 2 chips and one garlic bread.
have been wanting to try these for a while, level 3 lock down made it wasy to order and park to pick up takeways.

the chicken had great flavours to br honest, we had origional and sweet and spicy. but it was too dry, either cooked for too long or it had been sitting there a while. only the legs and thighs were ok to eat. the garlic bread weren't favoured by the kids but i guess that comes down to preference.
if i can suggest that the chips should come in a box or container instead of a paper bag then they wouldn't be soggy after a short car ride.
i'm sorry about the negative feed back but hopefully it will help you gain more customers by doing some improvements.

ordered 1x og whole chicken, 1x yang nyeon whole chicken and maple wings through uber. overall, the flavour was amazing. the chicken was fresh, fried to the perfect crunchy level (crunch even after the delivery). but the pieces were not evenly seasoned - smaller pieces like wings and drum sticks were too salty to eat. if the chicken is seasoned right on my next order, then i will increase the rating. if not, then it is not worth it.

the best fried chicken in auckland! the different flavour variety is awesome and love that you can choose your spice level. fried chicken sandwich is next-level, seriously good! staff are friendly and helpful. limited seating in the specific area but plenty of seating elsewhere in ponsonby central.

i had the chicken sandwich and it was amazing and very filling with mouth watering flavours and i would also recommend the garlic bread as a side, one of the best i’ve ever had.

best chicken sandwich and fried chicken. don't usually review but i've had it 4 times now and i still haven't had a moment where i wasn't blown away.

we really like the place as it had opening seating and several other restaurants around it. the food was good however the chicken was a bit cold whereas the rest of the food was very hot. the service was good and the atmosphere was very nice. the price was a bit on the high end for what the vibe and food.

we ordered to the thunderbird whole chicken and split that for two. the spice on the initial pieces was pretty good but the other pieces were just too sweet. and the whole bird dish had 8 wings and 4 drumsticks, no thighs or breast. a bit misleading saying its a whole chicken.

the korean street garlic bread is the best i've ever had. i crave it all day long! chicken flavors are alright too. don't order the thunderbird chicken if you cant handle spicy. highly recommend. i cant wait to visit again.

attracted by this hipster stall at ponsonby central. i ordered 3 pieces of the crispy original, their chicken were super juicy with a light layer of batter. one of the best that i had.

slightly pricey.

highly recommended to all the fried chicken lovers!

best korean fried chicken in auckland!! we got all 4 flavours, my favourite would have to be soy garlic (get that if you had to pick one!). the chicken is super tender and juicy, the batter crunchy but doesn't cut your mouth when it gets a bit colder... the middle of the drumsticks/wings wasn't bland at all. so good when you take a huge bite into it! it's best to go with lots of ppl so you can try more of their food. i also love their garlic bread, it's stuffed with cream cheese and garlic butter - a must.

the stall is located in the building closest to the carpark area, away from ponsonby road. it is quite open with a few tables and a counter area that looks over the kitchen. the most defining feature is the comic book style art on the ceiling. it might be easy to miss but it is over the seating area as well as the kitchen.
we grabbed a few chicken flavours and some side to share and they took the order from the table. the ban ban half half is cheaper to get if you were wanting a few different flavours at $36 for 12, with the 6 pieces at $23 for each flavour. the thunderbird was actually spicy but really tasty. the soy one was also quite tasty. the chicken was juicy and tender and were entirely whole wings. the garlic bread was also quite nice.
it is a nice place for some tasty fried chicken. the wings were nice but i prefer thigh cuts.
