mrs. mage is an open air poolside lounge that serves an elaborate menu comprising of iconic dishes across the globe. the gentle breeze and relaxing sound of nature enhances your dining experience as you sit by the pool and sip your favourite concoction.

the review of thefoodand drinks served as apart of the curated menu is as follows:

drinks:

the ‘red tweet, was a refreshing mock tail having fruity notes from cranberry and lemon mint. the minty mango had tropical flavours.the ‘fiery tinkle’ had a definitive chilli lime concoction.

mrs. mage had ‘coffee liquor’ combines with bourbon whisky. the ‘tong sling’ had tropical flavours from cherry liquor and pineapple. the ‘tamarindus’ had vodka infused with the tangy tamarind pulp with sweetness from ginger.

appetisers:

the ‘lotus fritters’ were crispy on the top and mushy in the centre. the ‘chicken dumplings’ were served steaming hot. the ‘don don prawns’ had a freshly baked prawns tossed in a cheesy sauce. the ‘jack’s crispy chilly chicken’ had spicy chilly chicken served on a bed of fried red chillies and toasted cashew. the tacos were crunchy and stuffed with backed beans, greens and cheese. the ‘pot stickers’ had oriental veggies stuffed in steamed dumpling served in a clear vegetable broth.the ‘mexican chicken skewers’ had barbecued chill chicken served with peanut sauce and fresh veggies.

main course:

the ‘emmy’s green’ had cluster beans tossed in chilli soya, pretty basic.the ‘vegetable and egg fried rice’ server with ‘assorted vegetables in sichuan sauce’ was my favourite for its simplicity and subtleness of oriental flavours that elevated the flavours of the dish. the ‘anan home style chicken’ had chicken tossed in a homemade soya chilly sauce which is a must order here. the ‘mutton ghee rost with paratha’ lacked true mangalorean flavours. the ‘marina beach parota’ was a subtle version of kottu parota and egg kalagi on the top, didn’t appeal to my taste. the ‘handrolled pasta in pesto sauce’ was nothing less than a star dish at this lounge and is a must order.

desserts:

the ‘lemony meel-feu’ had flaky pasty whipped with lemon cream and dressed with assorted berries, perfectly made.mrs ‘mage parfait’ has a birds nest structure made of sugar floss, served with salty caramel and mascarpone cheese, astoundingly brilliantly presentation and and a balanced taste. the ‘bomb alaska’ had chocolate ice cream, loaded with nuts and drizzled with caramel cream, another must order dessert here.

book your table in advance at “mrs. mage” at hyatt hyderabad to experience tranquility enjoying a myriad of flavours by the pool.

mrs. mage is an open-air poolside restaurant at hyatt gachibowli which has a beautiful ambience and is perfect for a beautiful evening to spend with friends and family. i was invited here for afoodtasting.

i started with the appetizers. the spiced corn dumpling consists of american corn and chili. lotus fritters are created with lotus root, spiced potato served in a sweet chili dip. tacos are created on a corn tortilla and filled with avocado, tomato, and sour cream. mexican chicken skewers had grilled chicken coated with barbeque sauce. chicken dumplings had a thin coating and were quite delicious. don don prawns had fried chili marinated prawns served with hot sauce. jack’s crispy chili chicken had wok tossed chicken, red chili, and peanuts.

now i’ll move on to the main course. the first dish was seasonal assorted vegetables in hot sichuan sauce. emmys green had crunchy bean, chili, garlic, and soy. the hand rolled pasta with basil pesto was quite creamy. anan home style chicken had chicken tossed in light and dark soy, chili, and peanuts. this was served with vegetable and egg fried rice. mutton ghee roast was served with paratha. marina beach mix paratha had street style paratha with chicken, curry leaf and egg.

lastly let’s explore their desserts. bombe alaska has chocolate ice-cream layered with tit bits, crunchy nuts and caramel sauce. mrs. mage parfait had angel hair nest; mascarpone cheese topped with salted caramel sauce. the lemon meel-foy had puffed up butter crispy multi layered pastry lemon custard with fresh berries and vanilla ice-cream.

the service was top class, and the ambience was mesmerising to say the least. this is a must visit

mrs. mage is a poolside open air restaurant. first thing that strikes you is the pleasant, soothing ambience, perfect for a candle light romantic dinner. they have huge cooler fans so you don't feel suffocated with the heatwave or humidity. apart from the ambience, one more highlight of this place is the top notch service. our table was handled by mr. vedant, if i remember correctly, and boy he was just perfect and took great personal care of us.

coming to the food, i'd say it was a bit of a hit and miss. more hits than misses, though. among the starters, i liked don don prawns, spiced corn dumplings and tacos while pot sticker (stir fried beans) was a complete miss. in the main course, we loved the hakka noodles, anan homestyle chicken, veg egg fried rice. had high expectations from mutton ghee roast served with paratha but didn't hit the right tones to my palate. marina beach mix paratha was good too but would have liked it to be served along with salan or gravy so i could add it if needed. the highlight of the night was definitely their desserts names bombe alaska, mrs, mage parfait and lemon meal foy. all the 3 desserts were distinct in their own way yet were droolworthy.

we had few cocktails and mocktails too while we had ourfoodand i liked tamarindus, a vodka based cocktail and minty mango, a mocktail.

overall, a great experience for an evening well spent with great ambience, service and food.

it was my second visit to hyatt gachibowli but first one to mrs mage. last year it was closed due to covid. i must say i am completely mesmerized by the vibe. still canr get over the feel, i am telling everyone how amazing the place is.

it's perfect for a dinner date or even if you wanna propose. trust me it's the ideal venue. superbly romantic, the light is deem and european look just takes away your breathe. the staff is polite and professional. chefs are perfectly trained.

overhyped & expensive

this place was on my wish list for quite some time but it didn't meet my expectations at all. i went along with 3 other friends for a sunday dinner & my experience was quite average given with both thefood& ambience.

1. portions are really small: we were four pple & none of starters we ordered had enough for even 1 round of starters for all. mexican chicken skewer was literally just 3 piece, so we had to order few twice. they have mentioned grams after everyfoodin the menu which was bizzare tbh

2. for the main course the menu is quite set & limited. they have combo meals called belly fillers & then single items like sizzlers......no pizzas, pastas & given the portion size of starters, the main course would have been similar.

3. drinks were ok/fine/average

we ordered three starters & even then we were quite hungry so we shifted to colage the other restaurant. luckily it had pizza (again only 3 options) that we shared & also ordered desserts.

given it is already summer the pool side looked nice but it was hot & humid & colage is better suited for dinner & drinks for the current season. we paid 8k in total for mrs. mage & colage both.

i would prefer glass onion any day over mrs mage the menu is better, portions are larger & ambience is also similar (minus the pool).

last night dinner at mrs. mage - hyatt gachibowli

this is a themed pool side restaurant with an open to air setup serving global cusine - a bit of everything and only open for diners after 7pm

yesterday night on eve of valentines day, they did offer a 4 course set menu

beautiful ambiance with some cool breeze made the evening very memorable -foodis tasty, good portion sizes which allowed us to taste the entire menu without wasting much

only thing to point out - not all the dishes served hot and staff is a bit confused to bring the dishes in proper order .. guess they are not used to serve this set course menu style

none the less ambiance did make up to that short fall, and service is very courteous - they did bring repeated servings when asked for any particular dish
