i really like the vibe here. to some people that have previously complained by about the flavors here, it is supposed to be kind of a mexican fusion restaurant. i loved the place and judging by the crowd, so do a lot of people. the margarita might have been a little over priced, but still a good dinning experience.

mr. mesero is a cool venue, with mexican and tex-mex renditions by mico rodriguez.  small intimate restaurant, with great service and food.   it has a following of regulars, and is often full due to its popularity.    opening round of multiple salsa presentation with chips is a nice touch, and sets the palette for the entrees to come.   i have previously had enchilada, pork, mole and other mexican dishes, but selected the chicken sandwich.  sandwich was topped with slaw, and a nice regional cheese, with fries.  dish was on point, filling and tasty.      the ambiance is very nice, as they have great lighting and a wrap-around patio, with curtains, for a stylistic touch.  perfect spot for al fresco dining!    glenn almack

we had an outstanding lunch at mr. mesero on sunday. sitting on the patio, snacking on chips and amazing guacamole was great. tacos for the meal were terrific. the service was flawless. this is a must do for you. i know we'll be doing it again!

staff is so nice and welcoming! it wasn't friends birthday so they provided her with a free birthday shot of tequila! i highly recommend the shrimp ceviche!!

my favorite trendy mexican food place in dallas! you can't go wrong here - margaritas are made fresh, rice is delicious, use authentic mexican ingredients for all dishes. a must!

very good! smaller servings than most mexican places, where i usually only finish half of my meal... here i ate all of it! my favorite was the fish taco, i preferred it over the chicken one. both were good however! the margarita with sangria in it was good but in hindsight i wish i would have just gotten the house margarita! guess i will just have to come back!

a little lighter, a little snazzier than most. great, semi-casual spot for an outdoor lunch in knox/henderson. it's got a slightly higher price point than most mexican restaurants but it's also a little swankier. plus it's got the perks of an up-town-ish spot, like a decent coffee selection, fancy cocktails, and ceviche.

the inside looks like a traditional, americanized dining room that opens up into a large front porch. the deck is right on the street but elevated and still relaxing. although service is hit and miss, their pork tacos and a sunny day on the porch make it a great experience.

parking during the day is self park on street or in small side lot. at night there is also valet.

ah-ma-zing!!! best high class mexican food i have ever had! if you like mi cocina, this blows that out of the water! amazing service, fantastic margaritas, must have guacamole, and to die for food. i had the carne asada and probably will next time! if i could come here everyday i would. amazing atmosphere that is fun yet still makes you feel right at home. highly recommend!

the food here is amazing and the waitstaff is great. we even got to meet mico the owner, who was absolutely charming. i wish i lived closer because i would probably eat here all the time. the steak is delicious.

way too small. the entrance is right in the middle of the service area. their so called "bar" is also the service station. the lights are so low in front of the bar (and so hot) that they actually burned my hair. nothing like the smell of burned hair and margaritas!! the guac was so spicy i couldn't even eat it. they steak taco had good flavor and was well cooked. there really isn't even enough room for the servers to do their job in there. felt like the walls were closing in on me.

everything is great, until.... all three visits to mr. mesero have included excellent food and margaritas. everything is great, until you put your fork down after the last bite. plates and water glasses are immediately removed and, if you don't quickly settle up and head for the door, the manager will tell you it's time to go - they need your table. tonight, celebrating a birthday with three friends, we received the same treatment. there was only one party of two waiting and, as soon as we finished eating, we were very rudely informed our table was needed.

if all you want is great food and a margarita, this is the place for you. if you would like to enjoy a drink first, or linger over an after dinner drink with your companions, mr. mesero is mr. no-go. head back to mi cocina for the same food with a much more enjoyable dining experience.

i like it but...... we were excited to try mico's new outpost as mi cocina and taco diner have always been our go to places for good tex-mex. mr. mesero was good but if we were sitting around and one of us said, "i want mexican food, where should we go?", i would never come up with mr. mesero. the food was adequate. the bar was odd. the service was awful.
