we have gone to mozart's on several occasions for afternoon tea and have never been disappointed. from the finger sandwiches to the wonderful desserts (we love the marzipan peach), everything pairs very well with their teas. it is a bit expensive for what you get, but it is well worth it once in a while.

horrible about food allergies. just went into the restaurant to take a look at the menu since our group of people contains someone with a peanut allergy, someone with a wheat allergy, and a vegetarian. i was told the wheat allergy person could "scrape the hummus off the bread" and that peanut allergies are "not serious" and that they don't cater to "fad diets" like vegetarians. the man who talked to me was incredibly rude; the cafe was nearly empty, so he wasn't rushed or anything. but their lack of concern for food allergies means we definitely don't trust them to go to serve us food. they wouldn't even consider simply making one of their salads without meat on it for the vegetarian. incredibly unaccomodating.

the desserts are the best in the city. staff is always so awesome. food is excellent and the owner is exactly who you would want to be a business owner in your neighborhood- very involved, always helpful and extremely generous

very good. everything i had (roast pork loin w/spatzle and veggies, carrot cake) was done nicely. not over seasoned. not over or under cooked. just solid good. waitress was a sweetheart. i enjoyed the experience as well as the food.

simply the best!. i have patronized mozart's since they opened in 1995 & i cannot think of a place in central ohio with more european charm, ambiance & outstanding cuisine than anand & doris saha's establishment! i have partaken of their menu for every mealtime, including high tea, an amazingly decadent break in my daily routine. the service has always been prompt & professional, the servers have good knowledge of their offerings & the from-scratch meals have always been presented in a most timely manner. i deeply appreciate the sahas' devoted & unwavering passion to mozart's cafe & for providing a refreshing respite from the outside world of corporate cuisine & chain restaurants.... thank you for serving us so well! i look forward to many more meals & get-togethers @ mozart's!

relaxed service, reasonably priced good food, wide variety of choices. this is a great place to go with friends, and catch up over a leisurely meal and dessert.
on tuesday night, our group of 6 was promptly seated and our server quite attentive.

yes, the drinks and food take a little time to arrive. chill out. enjoy each others company.
we ordered appetizers and entrees that included sandwiches and full meals.
everything came out to temperature and met or exceeded our expectations.
they even have a separate menu of gluten friendly options that includes many entrees and sandwiches with gf bread option.

don't let the mixed reviews keep you from this neighborhood restaurant!

mozart's may have good food . . .. i wouldn't know as i never got mine. walked to mozart's with a friend for sunday brunch. although it took a while to get seated, the live piano music made the wait more enjoyable. eventually we were taken to our table and my colleague ordered a bloody mary and i ordered coffee. it took about 10-15 minutes for her beverage to arrive. in the meantime, we placed our food order.

as we had spent time waiting in the lobby, we had a good chance to see the other patrons and when they arrived and were seated. after 40-45 minutes of waiting, we noticed other patrons had received their entrees and were well into completing them and we had not even received our appetizers. curiously, all the tables seated after us and fed before us included males in their parties. our table of two women was never served.

when we stood to leave, i asked to speak to the manager and was directed to the owner who explained that we didn't get our food because they were so busy. i sent an email expressing my concern and the manager/owner's response was again that they were busy.

being busy doesn't explain why other patrons were served first. being busy doesn't explain why we couldn't even get our appetizers while we watched those around us receive their food. if you are busy, put more staff on the floor or more cooks in the kitchen. i am hard-pressed to believe that putting some soup into a bowl and bringing it out would take more time than bringing egg entrees and sandwiches to the parties seated after we were.

we ended up having an awful lunch at tee jaye's (also in walking distance). at least they give their customers food!

maybe decent, if you can gets past the staff..... on the early evening of saturday, august 9th, my party and i decided to have coffee and a pastry at mozart's. walking in, we were, understandably, asked by the hostess if we were there for coffee and pastry or for a meal. apparently, only being there for coffee and pastry was the incorrect answer, as the hostess dismissively directed us to your pastry area with a flick of her wrist. as i wanted to wash my hands before ordering, i made my way back to your restrooms. before i had gotten halfway there, i was stopped by one of the wait staff, who actually held up his hands and physically stood in my way. upon being asked why i was there and literally being dismissively told that i was "in the wrong area," i was only permitted to pass once i clarified that i was going to the restroom. as if this wasn't galling enough, my party and i little appreciated being consistently watched by several of the wait staff- lest we sit in the wrong area. thanks to this truly unwelcoming atmosphere, the overall decision to simply leave and go somewhere where our patronage would be appreciated was quickly reached. for someone who had so thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at the previous mozart's location, it's truly sad to see that a new location has spawned a new and snooty attitude among the staff.

i have been looking forward to visiting so when a friend asked if i would join them i jumped at the chance. staff seemed to be exhausted by the time we got there (early afternoon). our drinks seemed like they had been made earlier and simply set aside until we arrived. i have heard a lot of good buzz about mozarts, but we did not share that positive experience.

mozart's bakery and piano cafe is an austrian inspired treat in clintonville. there's something for everyone on the menu! breakfast include waffles, breakfast sandwiches, omelets and quiche. other menu items include soup, salad, sandwiches, wiener schnitzel, strudels, spatzle and beef stroganoff. afternoon tea is served daily from 2 to 4pm and includes three courses of scones, canapes, pastries and tea. in the bakery you'll find a ton of specialty tortes, including the wheat-free wolfgang, esterhazy and ginnsbruck tortes. the bakery also makes breakfast pastries, european tea cookies, biscotti and adorable petit fours and marzipan peaches. last month kenneth and i were invited to a brunch at mozart's to celebrate the his and his fellow students' graduation from the ohio state university college of veterinary medicine. we enjoyed a delicious brunch in a room reserved for large groups at mozart's (i love the black and white striped walls everywhere!).   in between hugs and congratulation

e\cellent experience. i held a champagne high tea wedding shower recently at mozart's. had to do this all from far away by phone and email. both mr. saha and janelle went out of their way to help me with all the details. when i arrived, everything was perfect.
the scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries were gorgeous and delicious. the marzipan peach was outstanding. . their new location is lovely and the shower was a great success. the guests were all thrilled with the fresh fruit tart i send home with each as a favor. thank you for a wonderful experience..

mozart's has a fantastic selection of baked goods (as i said before) and also has a delicious cafe, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.   while you are their you can also listen to their high quality live piano music.   after any good meal there you can stop by vienna ice cafe   (adjoining) for very good hand crafted ice cream.   on my latest visit to mozart's (for lunch) i got the potato and portabella strudel ($9.95).   the strudel has a very nice flaky crust (as it should) with a very savory filling.   it is served with a light side salad as well.   i
