hmmm. i only ate here one time, the food was really good, i like to say thanks for the chefs who prepared it. also im getting the word out, if you guys dont know whats coming up, i"ll tell ya. karie lynch & her band are coming intownaug. 3rd in clare, mi. they will be performing under the water tower in clare from 6pm to 8pm. so tell eveyone else.hopefully the weather will be nice. one more thing , golly gee wiz, you guys have the biggest silverware ever and thats a compliment.

beer and steak - what can be bad about that??. this place has been in mt. pleasant since around the mid to late 90's. for atownlike this, that's actually saying quite a bit. they have nice, in house made micro brews (nice chocolatey stout, and a nice red pils) and excellent steaks and chops. atmosphere is un pretentious and relaxed. they understand what "pittsburg medium" means when you order a steak, and can deliver. steaks are not over seasoned with the 'house blend seasoning" like several chains. college students won' t be visiting often because of the price, but as one of two places in the area to get a good steak (the other being the pricey (but delicious) siniikaung steak house at the casino, this restaraunt should hopefully enjoy longevity.

mountaintownstation is exactly what i’ve come to expect from michigan brewpubs – beautiful with good beer and food even if it’s in the middle of nowhere. this one happens to be one of the area’s oldest operations and its still going strong. on my first visit, i was more impressed by the building than by the food or beer.

mountaintownstation is exactly our kind of restaurant. it’s got an interesting, old atmosphere and food that someone takes pride in. it’s everything we look for in a brew pub.
