disappointment. after much ado it was nothing with a nice price tag... loud barroom kind of place where you need to really speak out to be heard. no ambiance or music. food was less than 1 star. don't waste your time.

noisy patio.... i would have rated this experience higher except for two things: first, we made reservations, but did not request outdoor seating. that would have been fine except for the loud base beat of either cars in the parking lot or a nearby club that could be heard loudly thumping through most of dinner.

secondly, our waiter was not very attentive. he had tables inside and out and seemed stretched thin (it was a thursday.)

having said those things, the food is excellent and i would go back, but with more knowledge of where to sit.

we shared the charcuterie plate; all was tasty, but it would have been nice if the waiter had pointed out what everything on the plate was. my husband had the steak (one of the best executed we have had out in a long time) and i thoroughly enjoyed the soft shell crab. the wine by the glass selection is excellent, so ordering a bottle is not necessary if you do not wish to and the lemon tart that we had for dessert was a perfect palate cleanser.

wonderful rotating menu. started with the muscles in a creamy tomato sauce which was quite scrumptious. for dinner i had the fish of the day with a blanc cream & shallot caper sauce over rice that was phenomenal. the creme brûlée was disappointing, as i don't believe they used real vanilla bean, but other than that the entire night was fabulous. excellent wine list & friendly service.

enjoyed. pricey place but very tasty. i had the ny strip. it was cooked perfectly and veggies/mashed potatoes and duck gravy was spot on. very good wine selection as well. service was perfect and the atmosphere nice. worth a try.

just "whatever" for the price.

with a different menu every single night depending on what is in season and chef’s preference, we could only view the menu just before departing. even with the boys in tow, we were treated with nothing but courteous and helpful staff, and the meal was fabulous. after our time in france i often times think i might have become too picky for my own good, but this place left me satisfied and f

great service, unique food and nice atmosphere. had the mussels and fried lobster...simply great! we will return.

try the duck for dinner, and make
sure to have brunch there.

always enjoy this place particularly like the outside patio portion. food is original usually very fresh and services excellent. parking can be a problem they have valet service.

if the house-made charcuterie served at the making bacon workshop was any indication of chef tim peters’ meat curing /preparing skills, what would meat entrees be like at a full-on meal?

...i ordered the low country crabcakes with green onion soubise (it enticed me from the kitchen!) oh my. this are what grits are supposed to taste like. being locally sourced and from columbia, these adluh grits are stone ground in a building within eye shot from the restaurant. mmm, the grits. oh yeah, the crab cakes were good too.

slow service, hostess was clueless and the unforgivable - no sweet tea!

it was almost like eating a hashbrown risotto. they were awesome. the crab cakes were perfectly cooked. they definitely were spot on with the crab to breading ratio too. read: almost all crab, very little breading. the eggs were just perfectly poached so that the yolk ran a bit when i cut into it, but net enough to make a huge mess. the hollandaise sauce? divine. wonderful flavor that accentuated the flavor of the eggs and the crab cakes. and, of course, the fruit was juicy and very very fresh.

food great - service terrible. no excuse for such bad service.
