mister gee burger truck

really good meat pattie and their sauce on the burger and fries was good...
but i had to wait for 40min!! anyways at the end i got to try what the hype was about...
i was lucky to get thetruffleburger this week :)

some of the best burgers in australia, this is a place that you are perfectly happy to queue up for over an hour to eat their burger after driving over an hour to get there. it is also a place that if you arrive late they will have sold out - they serve one burger a week at the caravan and the fries are a must as are the milkshakes - omg the milkshakes!!! the pics i have taken are of theirtruffleburger, one of the best burgers i have eaten that made number 2 on my top 10 burgers of sydney article, an article that saw me eat 95 burgs in a year (see my site - spooningaustralia.com for the entire article). just trust me - if it's at mr gee's you are going to love it and the entire experience of eating there haha.

tried thetruffleburger because i am a hugetrufflefan and these burgers are bomb as hell! they’re saucy, soft and filling! their loaded fries were also very tasty! but i would say defs try theirtruffleburger! its soo good! would recommend as it is one of my top burger places!

the burger truck is always parked at the haberfield carwash on thursday to sunday. the burger truck was smaller than i imagined and managed to keep up with orders but the lines were long if you’re late. another thing to note is there are not enough chairs for all patrons, so it is wise to get there early to secure a seat before the rush. service can’t be really be accounted because it is a burger truck after all.

i ordered their specialty burger (it will change time to time). it came nicely packed in a box and foil wrapped. the portion size was good and looks large and full. the cheese was melted perfectly; buns were toasted; and the meat patty was seasoned well. however, it was a bit difficult to eat because it quickly became soggy and it was larger than my mouth. the chips withtrufflesauce was beast, the combination of the crispy chips and saltytrufflegoodness just pairs extremely well. i would definitely return to grab a bite but it was located in an inconvenient place and needed more seating for patrons.

hands down my favourite burger to date is mister geestruffleburger! it’s the definition of simple done well - there aren’t too many ingredients in the burger which allows you to really taste and appreciate each ingredient and thetrufflesauce is to die for so yummy 🤤 although i thought the burger could do with more sauce we ordered thetrufflefries so i just put a little bit more sauce onto my burger and it was perfect. highly recommend!!

food was amazing! loved thetruffleburger although it was a bit dry, and didn’t have enough sauce (or at least this one time i came). because when i tried the first time it was perfect. the bacon boy fries were exceptional. although the waiting time was ridiculous. don’t come here on an empty stomach.
definitely will ne coming back to try out the rest of their menu!

2 hours and 15mins wait time on a freezing saturday night. no bacon left by the time we got to order unfortunately. had the stoner burger - one with double patty,trufflefries and baklava shake. felt the burger was super greasy but really liked the bun, not sure about the soggy chips on on the burger they didn't really add anything. i would try another burger if the wait time was short but def not worth over 2 hours wait. shake and fries were good.

3. mister gee burger truck –truffleburger – beef pattie, caramelised onion,  american cheese, pickles and secret sauce. so i went here not realising that the signature burger was not on sale. make sure you check their instagram before going as you may get disappointed as they only sell one burger on the night. i mean all the others are good but if you want the best from this food truck get this one. thetrufflemayo is the secret sauce. wonderfully made secret for the whole world to taste.. maybe just sydney actually. don’t be fooled by being just a food truck. when you take that first bite it will keep making you want more and more and more. juicy, melting perfection of all the ingredients… however as i said earlier… it’s the sauce that gets you! it ain’t no normal sauce…  oily mayo type of aoli sauce. it doesn’t taste heavy, it tastes light so you can keep going and going. wow. you won’t regret it.

tried the new vege burger with the falafel patty. falafel got a tad bit dry at the end but overall a tasty burger.truffleshoestrings and the highlight was the incredibly soft and fluffy but also drenched in oil donut. you need to get two.

so we finally tried out the infamous burger joint mister gees. we ordered the ohtruffleburger and loaded fries + pbj shake. the burger itself was pretty bomb but i couldn’t really taste the truffle. the loaded fries was a bit of a let down as it was soggy. i would’ve enjoyed it more if i just had ordered plain fries. but would go back to try their other burgers :)

1) ogtruffle- must try - however they've built that sauce made this my favourite burger of theirs. i felt like it was missing an earthy element - maybe mushrooms?

2) stoner's revenge - must try - again, the sauce was the highlight, tasted a bit sweet? the pickles, pickled onions and chips were a touch of genius

3) cheeseboogie - the sauce was vinegary, tasted like thousand island dressing

4)trufflefries - the sauce is smothered enough on the burger that the fries aren't really needed. they were a bit soggy and oily. it was really heavy, could do with some pickles

5) bacon boy fries - you can't not like this combo but tastes how you expect. would have this over thetrufflefries

6) cinnamon donut - the donut was a bit doughier compared to butter and didn't have that same outside crisp to it.

the first time i ever visited mister gees, they had a cheese hamburger kind of burger which i thought was a complete waste of money. it basically tasted like a more expensive and bigger version of the mcdonalds’ cheeseburger (which i generally don’t like), so i was really disappointed. the wait for mister gees was always long so i didn’t think it was worth the long drive, money and wait. the next time however i visited for thetruffleburger which was amazing.trufflehas become my new favourite flavour (basically in life) because of them. the sauce is so creamy and just goes so well with the patty and veggies. i’d only ever come back to them for thetruffleto be honest!

one of the best burger joints in sydney. we will drive to find their new location, especially for the famoustruffleburger.
the juicy meat patty and soft brioche bun combination nicely melts in your mouth. loaded fries are a nice addition however we never end up finishing it between us.

got the pleasure of enjoying some of the burgers at the pop up in surry hills and as per usual didn’t disappoint. the ogtruffleis the star of the show and the rest are merely spectators. cooked perfectly oozing sauces dripping, that’s what it’s all about

definitely the best burgers in sydney. not a huge fan of thetrufflesauce and it's very overpowering on the chips, but hey if you like that sauce then you're going to have a good time. great vibes from the venue, just a car wash carpark with some milk crates for chairs and some great tunes blasting. stoners revenge is so good!
