great chinese.
love their starters menu. and their sauces are made to perfection.
i personally didn't like their crab dish.
but otherwise, it's one of the best fine dining chinese restaurants in this city.

what an amazing experience... beautiful ambience... soft muted yet clear lights.. good soulful instrumentals to calm the nerves and make the food experience absolutely perfect. .since we just the two of us i could not taste a lot of things but whatever i had was a treat. ..the manchow soup was one the best i have tasted in a long long time. .. the water chestnut and tofu starter for me needed a bit more salt... but that tofu was awesome.. haven't had such soft tofu anywhere. .. my main course was the hakka noodles and the seasonal vegetables in coriander sauce. . i can still taste the gravy of the vegetables which was absolutely lip smacking.. all in all a superb experience... the service is a bit slow but the food makes up for it... the best place for chinese being offered in the city..

indian food could have been more indian! chef doesn't appear to be familiar with south indian food tastes. it was bland. he gave reason: foreigners.

other food is excellent. they were keen to take feedback. let's see next time.

ambiance and reach from beach are very good. very courteous staff.

rooms are perfectly functional. swimming pool and gym are great. you are assured of disturbance free sleep.

this place is an institution.the best chinese in town. ive been coming here from a really really long time(>10 yrs). i can never get bored of this place. im a vegetarian and yet i have an array of dishes to try here. my fav is the water chestnut and tofu something. ive tried the entire menu(what i can eat atleast) and i love it. ive had bad experiences once or twice and the service sometimes can get a little slow.but these are random instances. a good ambiance and even better food what else can one ask for?

great food.. warm people.. they understand what one is looking for and then serve you with what you exactly asked for. nice ambiance too. looking forward to eat there again.

i came home after a long time and wanted to take my parents out for a scrumptious lunch which is quite difficult in vizag considering that most of the restaurants in vizag seem normal after eating out a lot in bangalore, mumbai, hyderabad and other foodie famous cities. but i decided to try out ming garden considering that my parents never had proper chinese anywhere since they just assume its street food noodles with lot of soya sauce.

we ordered a crab soup and shanghai chicken starters. we also ordered butter chilli lobster which they explained was semi gravy and good with the chicken fried rice we ordered. we also had mocktails, one with peach and another a fruit punch. we wanted to finish the meal with a dessert - dragon roll. the crab soup was absolutely lovely and even my parents adored it. the lobster we got had a huge quantity which i dint expect considering my previous experience at other restaurants and it was cooked decently. the fried rice was regular, cooked well enough. the shanghai chicken dint really stand out though. the dessert was really different and tasty - a dragon roll was a dessert in which a sponge cake enveloped vanilla ice cream and it had chocolate sauce and some nuts sprinkled on top. it was really good.

the service was decent. the ambiance was good considering that you can view the beach from your table. regular chinese chandeliers and decorations. overall, it is definitely worth a visit again.

no restaurant could ever beat this place. ah!! i love this place!! it was n will be the first restaurant in the list of my favourite restaurants. it serves amazing chinese food. the service, ambience, food each n everything is at its best..the variety of dishes is huge and the menu might be a little difficult to read because the names of dishes are pronounced in chinese. but it's written in english and the dishes are described below their names so it's manageable for most of them. never miss to visit this place.

excellent ambience and service. food is really good. thai green/red curry with the classic friedrice is a must try. you have a good range of cocktails incase u are looking for a drink. yes, the place is expensive, but if you want to pamper yourself once in a while, it's a good place to go.

visited here during our stay with family at the gateway hotel. ambiance is only ok. however, ming garden scores well with its food. we had starters like honey chili chicken and shanghai chicken which were delicious. for main course we had chicken burnt garlic fried rice with chicken in chili oyster sauce and seafood with vegetables. all the dishes were tasty & left a good feeling inside the mouth. the desserts - date pancake and tab tum (water chestnuts in coconut milk) were awesome.

one of the best place in vizag where you get very good chinese dishes. pan noodles was amazing. service was neat and clean. ambience is goood. not at all crowded.

was one of the earliest chinese restaurants in town. very famous for the innumerable food festivals they host. good fare. great ambience to have a nice meal with the family.

in search of a place to satisfy my chinese food craving upon coming back from pune (it has great chinese food ) i looked up zomato and found this place ! voila !!!
the place was pretty crowded on a saturday evening and we had to wait for fifteen minutes! initially the service was a little slow but later it was fine !i totally loved the ambience ,candle lit tables, the comfortable chairs and the crowd.the food was something to die for ! hot and sour chicken soup had hints of the chinese sauces in a little excess amounts but nevertheless tasted good. shanghai fried chicken was my bundle of happiness ! it tasted like kfc with the chinese twist and i was delighted ! i would recommend to try the burnt garlic fried rice (i am not sure about the name )and the hakka noodles! the right amount of everything in them made my day unlike the local versions with excess oil , sauces and everything else they could find to throw in the pan !

excellent food with great ambience and efficient service! they truly make you feel important and at home! personalised service to another level! the manager mr. anand is very professional and makes sure each guest is treated like a god! manages to take care of each an ever detail and he has guest's preferences on his finger tips! this place is highly recommended and is like my families second home!

been a favourite for years although the food nowadays is slightly local in its taste. even then, it is the best place to go for chinese food in vizag. ambience is perfect for a quiet lunch or dinner. minimal staff assures personal attention every time.

your best bet for chinese cuisine in vizag. the restaurant has been renovated recently and a fresh menu introduced. a regular (monthly) haunt during my growing years, this restaurant brings back a lot of memories each time i visit.

the quality of food has withstood the test of time and even though it is slightly expensive, your taste buds and tummy will be satisfied with the quality and quantity.
