was it the pina colada, or was thefriedice cream that good?. mi ranchito is definitely better than some of the "legendary" mexican restaurants in the kansas city area. i had a pina colada for an appetizer as i searched through the menu for something that looked appealing that didn't include beans, onions, or some other surprise that would ultimately ruin the entree for me. (yes, i'm one of those picky eaters.) i decided on the steak fajitas and snacked on the wonderful chips and salsa until my meal arrived, sizzling like bacon in a frying pan. the steak was seasoned perfectly. the rice wasn't the best i've had, and i only had a few bites, but i wasn't there for rice. then there was dessert:friedice cream, no, the bestfriedice cream i've ever had. maybe it was the effects of the pina colada, which was also the best i've ever had, but i would go there just for thefriedice cream.
i was there at 1:30 on a sunday and it was crowded but there was no wait. i did feel a bit rushed by the wait staff.
