pricey but worth it. filet was perfectly seasoned and cooked. lobster mac was creamy goodness. mushrooms side heavenly. creamed spinach unique and light. bacon wrapped jalapeño w steak a fun surprise. ending w bananas foster and french press delicious. not wheelchair friendly at all. tight quarters at tables. service very attentive.

great place. first time here in all the years in el paso. i brought my wife and we had a quiet, great tasting dinner. service was excellent. waitress was very friendly and let us know about all the specials and features of the evening. i was surprised there wasn't more people there on a friday night. i'd recommend this place for taking someone special.

pistachio tuna w/ mole. gone several times when in town, very consistent fine food, steaks are great but the last time i had the special, pistachio crusted tuna on a mole sauce. i all but licked the plate.

msg is no exception to el paso's reputation for having very inconsistent service. my experience sunday evening, feb 10, 2013 drives this point home. our waiter was scarce for most of the meal. i ordered a steak which came out raw. i set it aside to send it back for a few more minutes on the burner. the waiter was all over the restaurant except at our table. he finally returned and took the steak back to the kitchen. time passes..... waiter never returned for drinnk refills, or to return the steak. after the other person in my party had completely finished his meal, the waiter returned to bus the table. i asked about my steak. he looked at me in a panic and left. he came back about five minutes later and said the "kitchen" had forgotten to tell him the steak was ready, and had left it under the warmer for 20 minutes. i guess it's not the waiters responsibility... anyway, he returned later with the check and announced that the manager had comped my entree. well, i guess that was decent of them since they lost my meal. another disappointing thing is that the manager never bothered to stop by the table to acknowledge or maybe apologize for the mishap. this is just another example how most el paso restaurant management has no clue about the hospitality industry.

bad service. horrid service, from the seating process to the last cup of coffee. will not return and will not recommend to anyone. service is a key aspect of the business and even the manager needs to be reminded of the fact. food so-so and pricy.

most inconsistent place i know. some days service is "decent" and others (most) it is just bad. some days they even have a snobby attitude as if they had fine dining.... it's just steaks and in most cases not cooked correctly.

terrible service. on 03nov12 at around 7pm my husband and i met another couple at this restaurant. it took nearly 2 1/2 hours for our meal to arrive. first, we ordered 2 appetizers from one waiter then about 45 minutes later another waiter asked if we were ready to order at which time we let him know we were still waiting on our appetizers. at no time did any of the staff introduce themselves nor did the manager ever come by to see how his customers were doing, but instead spent a great deal of time at the hostess desk appearing to be chatting up the hostesses. when our main course finally arrived about an hour after we ordered it my ancho steak with mango salsa was cooked well done when i asked for medium and the 'salsa' was nothing more than canned peaches. my husband ordered the ribeye with the lobster macaroni and cheese and the steak came but it was more than 20 minutes until the mac n cheese arrived. before we left we asked to speak to the manager and i would be happy to share his name ,but when my husband introduced himself the manager never offered his name - it would have been about 10:05 pm at this time. the manager's only explanation for our experience was that they were busy and as for sending my steak back he said he had no idea. at no time did he sincerely apologize or in any way encourage us to give the restaurant another chance. whoever this manager was seemed to not care and certainly was not willing to take any responsibility and had no comment when i mentioned that he did not walk the floor the entire time (again this was 2 1/2 hours) we were there. if the mesa street grill was so busy on this occasion it would stand to reason that a good and qualified manager would have stepped up and helped his staff and at minimum moved throughout the room ensuring that the customers were having a pleasant experience. this restaurant does not belong on the top of any list.

food disappointing. we recently moved to el paso, and being a "foodie", i have been researching restaurants. we were excited to try out the mesa street grill last night. the ambiance and service at the outside patio was wonderful. a waitress sang to a table and it was beautiful. being friday night, we were surprised the outside patio wasn't packed. however, once we received our food we understood. the bone-in ribeye was extremely tough and had little flavor. we ate about 4 bites (we seriously couldn't cut it) and brought the rest home to our puppy. our pooch also enjoyed an under done baked potatoe. my lobster bisque was ok, except it was served with 3 cheap store bought wheat crackers. the only highlight in the food category was the lobster mac and cheese we had for an appetizer. we enjoyed the service and ambiance so much we will return. however, just for appetizers and drinks.

less than pleased. my husband and i went out saturday night for a date. had reservations for 645pm. we were sat immediately. that is where it went down hill:
1. had to ask for lemon for my water twice
2. had to ask for ice for the luke warm water twice
3. ordered calamari and it was so tough that our jaws hurt after a couple of bites
4. when we told waitress she just took the plate away and didn't care
5. ordered the steak and crab cake...cake was good, mashed potatoes were covered in raw carrots and had raw asparagus sticking out from it. steak was stringy and uneatable. a steak knife was never provided although asked for.
6. ordered roasted chicken and it was ok but the huge amount of black pepper on the whole plate made it where you couldn't taste anything but the black pepper.

they comped everything but the chicken. will not be going back.

my husband brought me here..never been here before but we had a great time, atmospher is nice, and service is good!

snail service & mediocre food. seated promptly, then waited for any type of service. 15 min. for our wine, another 20 for the appetizer, plus 20 more for the entrees. waiter never offered to refill water or wine glasses. stuffed jalapeños: some were almost raw, others quite tasty,especially loved the mango aioli. spouse's caprese salad was laughable: the mozzarella was not sliced and appeared to be what i could buy at the grocery. basil not chopped and tomatoes not really ripe. such as all salad for such a big price. the steaks were excellent, some of the best i've eaten. however, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant and were cold. crab cake had little crab and was burnt. we didn't have time for dessert, and had to ask for the check.....and wated yet again. we will not return.

great atmosphere. amazing food and drink at mesa street grill. its been a while since i last stopped by. if i remember right it was for the tequila tasting last winter. i'd recommend the stuff jalapenos and mango sauce. those will always be my favorite thing to order at mesa street.

i'm here all the time. everything is fantastic. service, food, wine, drinks and even the feel of the place. love it here!!!

love that they have escargots on the menu!! & they're not bad...

overpriced, cold environment. my husband and i came here before going to an event downtown. we were a little shocked when we saw the prices and the fact that all sides are ala cart but decided to stay anyway. our waiter made us feel like we had the plague. my husband even made a joke to liven the mood and still no reaction. my spicy pasta dish was actually excellent but our waiter over shadowed the delicious food.
