who needs an office when you've got a place called meesh?!
place:
ticking my first box with a bold check mark here. this place is actually my second office. after my morning meetings, i prefer not to go back to our office at west bay but instead crash here and usually finish my day with admin works, emails, crm and other tasks which does not need a laserjet printer.
here are a few reasons why meesh cafe can be a perfect place for work:
1. they have enough power outlets to charge your laptop.
2. they even have usb ports dedicated for charging your mobile devices.
3. they provide a decent internet connection, though i don't use it unless my 4g mobile network is bad..
4. they have a lot of seating options to choose from. high chair, comfy couches, library type benches, outdoor seats... you name it. they have it! you could probably even seat on the ladder if you want to be a bit adventurous - though i don't and the management would surely not recommend it :)
5. the place is not too crowded so there's enough space to concentrate on what you are doing..
plate:
one thing that stands out with their plating is the quality of utensils that they serve the food with. it's heavy enough to merit a hotel-like experience.
the best detail that needs a big mention though is (drum roll please....) the quality of their tissue! all over doha, i think they have the bestest (exaggeration intended) tissue quality. the thickness is superb you would mistake it for an actual linen cloth... funny confession: i once have used it as a hanky substitute :)
palate:
tried only a couple of sandwiches from their menu, but the standard order that gets punched on their pos is the marble cake which easily became my favorite cappuccino partner. their marble cake has the best crunchy top (not biscuit crunchy but cupcake crunchy, for the lack of adjectives that i can think of at the moment) you would almost wish they only make the cup cake tops and not the whole cup cake :) this and the rich aroma of the perfect cappuccino blend will ensure that you are on to a productive day. they also have an option for a platinum blend, for an extra qar 2 but poor me always forgets to ask for the upgrade...
when i brought my wife here, she had a hardtimechoosing which juice she will take from the selection of raw juices available near the counter. all of them looks healthily tempting...
price:
my average spend when i go here is around qar25 and that includes 4-5 hours of office space. if i can get my company to drop our qar20k office rental in west bay, i would insist we choose this place as our new office. i probably would save the company 90% on rental overhead! lol! but i will only do that if they will give me the 90% savings!
personal touch:
one day, i found one of the power outlets stuck and would not open despite my thor-ic attempt to lift the cover from it. so i sought help from the crew and asked for a knife. to my surprise, they did not allow me to use the knife because they reasoned that it is not very hygienic to use it for opening the floor socket. instead they came over to my table and helped me open it with a scissor of some sort. kudos to their meticulous regard and attention to hygiene!
now, when it come to the question of recommending this place... i think you know the answer!
