first of all this place claims 'best' poutine in town, based on my experience today i would have to disagree. thanks for the craptastic veggie pizza dog with raw onions, hardly any tomato 'pizza' sauce, and cold uncooked veggie dog, which you charged me $2 extra for. best fail in vancouver should be your slogan.

green onions??. the lady said the popular items were: fried chicken, philly cheese steak, mean supreme poutine, southern bbq. the fried chicken is the most popular but it was disappointing. it was okay beer battered fries with little gravy and yellow cheese curds. the batter made it even more filling. my friend coming from quebec said the cheese curds should be white instead of yellow. i really like the mean supreme which comes with a spicy kick. i really don't like the idea that it comes with green onions. it says nothing about green onions on the menu. every poutine are prepared after the order was made. they did not have yam fries that day. she said they only have it when they are in season. when is that?? if i ever going to come back, i might try the southern bbq. i have a feeling that the meaty ones will be better.

it's a take-out window! there is a counter on the left. for seating, you could sit on the nearby steps or the single bench up the block. the prices (as of the evening of friday, june 7th) are 50 cents more than what's on the website. the cheese curds are out of a bag. not sure how that would match up with your definition of "fresh". my quebecois friend frowned that they weren't white, but yellowish. although each poutine has a slightly different mix of ingredients on top of the basic $6.50 poutine, most of the time it doesn't really matter because the gravy smothers all the other tastes, unless you isolated them first (e.g., ate a meatball or a chunk of chicken instead of stirring your poutine together). unless you are paying close attention to what you are eating, your order will probably taste like fries in gravy, plus a $2 or $3 side of whatever else you ordered. also, the menu doesn't say, but they all come with a sprinkling of green onion. the fries are really decent -- beer batte

on the hunt for more awesome poutine, a vancitybuzz reader mentioned that an alternative to fritz for late night eats is mean poutine on nelson and granville. they are just a small little shop, that offer a lot of different flavours, and the price isn’t too bad. besides the standard poutine, they also have fried chicken, philly cheesesteak, mean supreme, mama’s meatball, southern bbq, and even candied yam poutine. or you can also build your own. you can get some hotdogs too. i ordered the classic poutine and the fried chicken poutine. the beer bettered fries are fried fresh, so at 5pm, i did have to wait about 15 minutes to get my order. before bringing the take out to my friends place. i took a look so i can get fresh pictures. the cheese was already very melted, and a lot thinner than the other poutines we’ve had. because of the batter, the fries kind of resembled kfc fries, where you could see the light airy batter bubble a bit and crisp up. these were quite a bit fatter t

mean poutine beer batters and fry their french fries fresh (about 15 minutes), leaving them crisp and airy with a texture similar to kfc fries, but thicker.

...partially a small kitchen in the wall with a glass case. it's run by a nice lady who makes everything by herself and to the order (fresh).

the taste of the poutine was overall good. the portion was decent as well for $6 including tax, but i think i would have liked it even more if it had more gravy.

mouth watering good.. i tried this place on new years by fluke... there was a huge crowd in front and i wanted to see what this place was all about. the food was beyond belief amazing and i got to meet the owners, whose this huge guy and his dad. i ordered a chicken poutine and my friends ordered a bunch of their gourmet hot dogs. first off it was huge and smothered in toppings... every bite was just as good as the next. my friend ordered this hot dog with cream cheese on it called the zen dog.their pizza dog and mac n cheese dog are also out of this world good. all in all, we go here probably every weekend. the best part... he is always open!
