a friend of mine said "if i did reviews online, i'd give this place two thumbs up!"
well i myself give this place two, and then some.
you don't need to venture down to otr vine st to get a authentic gourmet taco. stop here instead. for starters they have a parking lot with free parking..easy in, easy out.
i ordered the mix tacos. one chicken, one steak, and one fish. all three were absolutely delicious!
i had to try the salsa bar. came with house made tortillas which were different than what i'm normally used to, but still good. you can load up on 5 different salsas.
mazunte is reasonably priced and seemed clean inside. i will recommend mazunte to anyone looking for fresh authentic tacos.

best true mexican food in cincinnati! always delicious! wonderful spices and flavor. fish tacos are the best and love the medium salsa with roasted tomatoes in it. adds huge flavor!!

fresh, unique, delicious! not your typical mexican-american fare.. i was super excited to find mazunte- the menu choices are different from your typical refried beans and rice slopped on a plate like at some other restaurants. their homemade salsas are wonderful (sometimes i just get containers of them to go)! they have yummy vegetarian options- i've had the chile relleno and the empanadas. the chile relleno is my favorite! they also have wonderful margaritas- you fill up your own cup! their only downfall is how small the space is- sometimes you have to wait for a seat. i would highly recommend mazunte!

love what they have created here!! the atmosphere, staff, and most of all food is awesome....mexican "street food" at its finest! homemade tortillas, salsa bar, fresh cilantro and cheeses, and unique menu items. priced right and you'll leave with a full belly. this place puts the other mexican restaurants in town to shame! legit.

tacos were a nice size for the money. of the three we had (fish, steak and pork) i like the steak the best. it had a bit of spice and was made up nicely. by far my favorite dish was the corn. perfectly cooked and prepared. the queso is very good and the chips are excellent. tangy good margaritas also.

their cheese dip is astounding and so is the salsa bar with chips. when i go there i usually just get the chips and salsa with an order of cheese dip and then maybe some corn on the cob. the cheese dip is around $4, but you get a lot of it! they also make the chips in front of you at the salsa bar.
love this place!!!!

very good food. more authentic than most. it is always pretty busy. i also really enjoy their margaritas, probably because i can barely finish 1 as they are pretty strong.

always delicious and consistently high quality! we have been here many times and never had a bad experience. the service and the food are top notch. favorite items for us are the fish tacos and tostadas but everything is great!

such great food!  love the authentic tacos, corn, and salsa bar.  it tastes fresh every single time.  only issue is that this place is small and it's a "place your order and hope to find a seat" kind of place.  i think that keeps me from going more often.  it can get super busy.  however, i am such a fan of the tacos here!  delicious.

mazunte is everything you would expect at a genuine taqueria in mexico city. the grilled corn on the cob (elote asado ) is extraordinary - easily takes you to experience the essence of the city’ street food. had their tacos as well... superb! the ambience is pretty laid back, love their corner salsa station, seating is a challenge during lunch/dinner, patience my friends, it’s totally worth the wait - you won’t be disappointed.

we had friends that were raving about mazunte – let me just preface this by saying that i’m very picky (picky is probably the wrong term here) when it comes to mexican food. or, food in general. it’s very rare that i eat something and i’m overwhelmed by its deliciousness.  “hard to impress” is probably a better description.

this place was ridiculously tasty. if have to say my favorite part was the salsa bar where they had a roasted tomato, a verde, a pico, and a habanero salsa and they were all perfection in their own deliciously spicy way. they make tortillas in house so that's pretty cool. the steak, pork, and fish tacos were so flavorful and had the perfect topping combinations. never have i wanted to go throw up my food just so i had room to eat more of if, as much as i did after eating here. a++
