mazunte taqueria mexicana

unique and awesome experience. went to mazunte for lunch today with my girlfriend. walking in we were immediately impressed with the decor/good music playing. we were greeted with a smile and had a seat at the awesome wooden bar. i had the chorizo tostado and my girlfriend had the steak tacos. everything tasted like it was grown right out back and the seasoning on the meat was delicious. if you are looking for some authentic mexican food at a very reasonable cost go to mazunte and i promise you will not be let down. we will definitely be going back very soon!!

fresh. authentic. delicious. i visited mazunte on a trip to ohio and was very impressed to find incredibly authentic and fresh mexican food in cincinnati.

the food: a lot of care and love goes into the food at mazunte. all of the salsas and sauces are fresh and homemade. ingredients are freshly chopped and prepared and the queso fresco is homemade in house. the fish tacos and tostadas stole the show and the guacamole and horchata was amazing. the food is presented well and is very flavorful.

the atmosphere: mazunte is small and comfortable. this is a great place for an hour lunch break during the day or a perfect spot for dinner at night. the atmosphere and wait staff also make this a very comfortable place to sit at the bar with margaritas. service is good. the owner and staff are very friendly and connect well with the restaurant patrons.

best in cincinnati. i think it is fair to say it is hard to get good mexican in cincinnati because this town generally does not demand fresh, flavorful ingredients in mexican food. we love salt, fat, and carbs, and maybe some who love super hot peppers. i had a fish taco and two pork tacos for a business lunch. most flavorful mexican i have had since javier's closed on court street. small portions but incredible fresh ingredients and fresh spices.

love it!. such a great taqueria! the food is delicious and fresh. definitely not your typical cheesy, greasy, taco joint. the atmosphere is great and the story of how this place came to be is just as wonderful. i love supporting a local business that is so invested in our community! i will definitely be visiting here often.

the real deal. lovers of authentic mexican taquerias will be so happy mazunte has come to cincinnati. we took four pre-teen boys who also gave it big thumbs up. the food was fresh-highly recommend the combo tacos which are served in the traditional style. great fresh salsas and guac too! atmosphere is colorful, casual and fun. you won't be disappointed in this great addition to cinci.

i have never eaten a more amazing mexican meal than at mazunte! the food is fresh, creative, beautiful, and above all insanely delicious! the vibe when you walk into mazunte is so chill - i'd love to have the time to just hang out and enjoy beers at the bar here! i would absolutely recommend for anyone who likes to eat, drink, smile, and laugh to visit mazunte! also - ask the owner he story of the restaurant coming about - so inspiring!

this was hands down the best mexican food i have ever eaten! the blue corn quesadilla was amazing and all of the staff were super friendly. i will definitely be coming back again soon.

fresh and authentic. eating the food at mazunte was amazing. i lived and worked in oaxaca for a year, and both the food and atmosphere at mazunte took me back there. first-time diners should not expect taco bell--this is much better.

incredible food!. mazunte is not your typical tex-mex food, it's fresh, honest, and seriously delicious food from oaxaca, mexico. i have yet to eat anything that the owner has made and not loved it. it's the kind of food you want to keep on eating, so make sure to wear some comfy, expandable pants! if you are looking for your typical, fried, greasy mexican food, this is not the place. definitely check this place out! it has a great atmosphere too. i'd eat there every day if i could.

highly recommended. if you want fresh, original mexican food that is yummy then give mazunte a try!! the owner has put heart & soul into the building and opening of this wonderful place and the atmosphere and especially his wonderful dishes show this!!!

highly recommended. i have loved everything i've ever eaten at mazunte. each time i visit i order something different, and every time i leave with a new favorite dish. the best part of my recent visit was eating an empanada while watching them being prepared at the walk-up salsa bar. i love the authentic feel and design.

dissapointed i thought today was opening night the menu looked good. however they did not have the items we wanted we tried something else and did not like it when the server?owner? ask how everything was we told him we did not like our food he said no worries it is not for everyone i was shocked he did not offer a refund maybe we will wait a couple of monthes and try it again i really wanted to like it but they were out of basics like queso margaritas fried fish for the tacos among a few others so cannot really give a good review until the full menu is available and money back would have made a better experience
