very bad experience. if i could give may dragon a zero rating, i would.

my husband and i ate at may dragon at 4:00 on march 24, 2015.

i ordered the hunan chicken at the suggestion of the wait staff. it was served promptly because there was no one else in the restaurant.

the chicken smelled spoiled, a little off; it could have been the chicken or perhaps the oil was rancid, but it didn’t taste well at all. i tried to eat the vegetables but the taste permeated the vegetables. my husband was able to eat his but said it was bland and mushy and that the "fried rice" was just brown rice. he tasted mine and said, no, something wasn’t right with it, that it tasted spoiled.

we called the waitress and told her that something was wrong with the chicken. she responded that i had just eaten too many wonton strips. i was shocked but told her that i really hadn’t and i didn’t think that was what was wrong, that something was wrong with the chicken. she looked at the plate and told me that i had spoiled the dish by putting too much hot sauce on it and that i shouldn’t have put so much hot sauce on it.

we asked to speak with the owner and she said he was busy and brought us the bill. we paid it without argument; what else could we do?

i sent mr. chow the owner a letter and enclosed a copy of our bill telling him that we had gotten a dab meal. he never responded.

i am going to report this to the better business bureau. we will certainly never eat at may dragon again.

one word, outstanding! fantastic food, live piano, and great service. i love chinese food and this ranks at the top. thanks may dragon.

i like may dragon, but can't help but wonder if the trend toward healthier eating and the proliferation of other asian cuisines and outlets hasn't really hurt the chinese restaurants. much of the food is very heavy, loaded with sauce and of course there's all that rice. but this is what makes it good for an occasional treat.
the hot and sour soup is good but be prepared for it to be pretty spicy. my favorite entree is the shrimp with walnut which comes with plenty of crunchy green pepper chunks. the sauce is flavorful and a like the crunchy textures of the nuts and peppers with the fried shrimp.
hubby ordered basic chicken fried rice and it was very tasty and large portioned.
on our recent visit, it happened to be chinese new year so we were treated to an impromptu dragon dance that came through the restaurant. we were warned before it happened and were told by a young boy, who helped wear the costume, that money contributions were encouraged and would bring you good luck. it was fun at first, but lasted entirely too long and too many repeat passes at the same tables over and over again, as more envelopes were brought with the implication that more contributions were due. it was a turn off that should've just been a fun extra. i hope we never catch it again on that holiday.

overpriced and completely wrong order. even with confirming my order via a phone call after my online order was placed, they sent us completely wrong dishes! and the food was so bland we couldn't figure out what any of them were... $65 for 3 people to eat take out chinese food is already borderline ridiculous, but if i'm going to spend that much money, i expect it to be good. definitely won't be going back.

bad expierence. ate dinner there last night. service was terrible. waited for servers to bring drinks, food, and check. we had 5 different servers. one older gentlemen server was abrupt and seemed not focused on his task. complained to the hostess and her explanation was "short staffed"

food was average.

unhappy customer. two weeks ago my wife & i went to may dragon for diner. we had a groupon certificate for $44.00. this was our second visit. we ordered chicken for my wife and 3 treasures for me. the shrimps in the 3 treasures were fishy and smell bad. i called the waiter and complained. he said he will inform the owner who happened to be in the restaurant. he came later and informed that the owner said that i can order a replacement which i did but a lesser cost. when he handed me the check he said that i have to pay a 20% gratuity. i did. my take on this is: 1} the owner who was in the restaurant did not bother to come and ask us about the problem. 2} they dictated that i have to pay a 20% grat. normally 18% grat. is charged on groups of over 8 people. this told me a lot about this restaurant and the way it is run that i decided not to go there any more.

excellent service. super clean. good food. hot and sour soup-delicious.

my wife and i were craving some good chinese food, so i chose may dragon based off of some previous reviews claiming that the sesame chicken was "out of this world." i must admit, it was. it was easily the best i've had since moving to dallas, and probably the 2nd best i've ever had. the wonton soup and beef lo mein were also good. i would highly recommend this place if you are a sesame chicken fan. plus the place is clean and the wait staff is very friendly. will definitely be going back.

great chinese restaurant. service is superb and the environment is very friendly!

there are better choices...... may dragon used to be the best chinese restaurant in dallas by far. unfortunately, over the past year the quality and service has been dismal at best. the last several times (dinner hour during week and weekends) we have been to the restaurant there were was only 1 or 2 other couples at the restaurant and the restaurant has a strange smell. the last time i ordered take out, they forgot to include the appetizer. to make matters worse, they served a lunch size portion when i ordered and paid for a dinner portion. when i called the restaurant to complain they did not seem the least bit interested and thought it was amusing they forgot the the beef on a stick and served a lunch portion while charging for a dinner portion. no more. our family is done. we will find another chinese restaurant.

good food!. we often eat here and have never been disappointed. very good food and a great wait staff. looking for chinese food? i highly recommend.

would not recommend this restraunt to any of my friends. if i did, they would most likly ask why did i want them to intentionally get food poising. ordered the sweat n sour beef plate. my meat was under cook and still noticeably pink in the middle. when told the management about this they refused a refund and refused to cook my food until properly done. they were very rude when told this problem and wouldn't even take the time to see my meal. seriously pick somewhere else this place is not worth your time or money.

good food but staff not always prepared. i really like the food here. especially the sichuan string beans which might be my favorite veggie dish at any chinese restaurant. also, the orange beef is fantastic as well. very flavorful and the crunch doesn't exceed the actual taste of the beef like it can at many places.

the kung pao was loaded with peanuts and very little chicken. i think i might skip that as well as the chinese broccoli which was about as tasteless as one dish could be.

be careful on going during peak hours. i've been there twice where they have run out of bowls. not kidding. they ran out of glasses once too. however, the servers work their ass off, and it's not like they don't try to give the best service they can. i have always appreciated that.

since it's close to me, i will go probably more than i should. and while the prices may seem a bit steep, i've always found the portions to be commensurate, so you may get leftovers which isn't a bad thing.

shrimpy shrimp. recently had an excellent dinner here but was very annoyed at the poor quality shrimp in two lunch dishes. h&s soup was very good, but everything else was average and the shrimp was poor. service was excellent, but now i remember why i stopped going here for lunch around 5 years ago. i won't be back any time soon.

the service and food was superb - i felt like a princess with the attention and service. marvelous pianist (steve sonday), gracious and cheerful manager chichi, and server cyrus each contributed to making this a royal evening.

i love may dragon. food was great service was good would definitely go back entrees were the stars of the night only thing i could say negative was that the spare rips weren't fresh but everything else was great
