i'll take a double juicy please!! i love this place! my fiancé and i both had beer, a large basket of fries, and a juicy each. our bill was just over 20 bucks. too good to be true? evidentally not! i will be back for more.

makes my mouth water.... juicy lucy - grilled onions - extra pickles and a coke in a can.. the absolute best

i don't get it. i like dive bars don't get me wrong, but this is just silly. they burgers aren't really that great, certainly not worth standing in line for 45 minutes for. and i bet the irs wants a piece of this cash-only action.

don't let the religious zealots scare you off. the hotly debated best-juicy-lucy title stirs up a lot of hype. i say, go, and make up your own mind. when we took the sister & her family of five, only her husband (from out east) didn't like it.

expect to have a lucy, fries and a beer in a corner dive bar setting-which is actually kid friendly-for not very much money. there's not much else on the menu.

me, i think they serve the best, but i've only tried two other places. they certainly win the wood paneled charm award.

what's the big deal?. i don't understand the charm of this place. my juicy lucy was almost cremated on the outside which destroyed any true hamburger flavor. there are lots of other burger places in the city better than this.

i liked the burgers here, but no comparison to "the nook/shamrocks" who has the best fries and bakery fresh buns. head over to nook!

very over rated!. why do people like this place so much? sure, it's a good burger but there are plenty of alternative and superior options in the tc. truly, the nook, lurcat, convention grill, capital grill, etc. i like hole in the walls but the service and food are just ok.

do one thing and do it well. anytime i want beer and a good burger minus the pretentiousness i go to matts. sit at the bar and laugh with the cook as he makes meat masterpieces.

liquid hot cheese magma. we heard about this place on mvf. now we know what the fuss is all about. the jucy lucy: 2 beef patties with a molten core of cheese on a fresh bun with loads of pickles and grilled onions. decent fries. cold beer. life is good at matt's.

this little place has maybe a dozen tables and a bar, and if you sit at the bar you’re looking in on the kitchen as well, because the grill and all the prep is done right there by a redheaded rastafarian and the rest of the staff.

dispointed. i was bummed when i went to matt's bar for the juicy lucy it had no taste. the nook has a better juicy lucy.

tasty. i found the burgers here to be good and the help nice. i tried my first jucy lucy there and discovered that it really doesn't add anything for me (personally) but the burger was still really good regardless.

pretty busy place, though.

the best jucy lucy on town!! don't forget to bring cash or a check-they don't take plastic. absolutely worth the drive or call your order in ahead of time (if you cab get thru!). totally worth it!

amazing!! a line all the way out the door, but worth the wait. the jucy lucy was the best ever! the fries, beer and service were top notch too! it's a must visit.
