second time in 4 days with the wife. authentic udon. got the cold bukkake this time on a warm day. excellent. would recommend to anyone looking for great udon!

awesome food. line waslongas other reviews stated but only took about 10mins at 1pm. was looking forward to this place since before the vacation. did not disappoint. had the kake udon was fresh and a great price. $21 for the wife and i.

fantastic freshly made udon - cafeteria style, cheap, amazing spam masubi. we've gone to this place two days in a row. everything about this place is amazing. beware: always alongline to get in.

great food!. we went there for lunch and were lucky to not have a line up when we got there. usually the line is about 20 peoplelongoutside the restaurant. the food was great. fresh and quick service with an a la carte menu offering. you pick the style of noodle, hot or cold and you select from the number of fresh tempura that you want. i had the cold udon (forgot the name of it) and had the shrimp and eggplant tempura. mmmm was it good.

well worth the trip. great concept too. love to have one in vancouver!

the cheap and cheerful udon masters. don't expect the most amazing meal you have ever eaten if you are heading to marukame udon but what you can expect is alongqueue that moves quickly, hearty food that will keep you going forlongafter you eat there, a cheap bite to eat (an uncommon commodity in waikiki), traditional japanese udon that are home made, and a tasty soup. i enjoyed my meal there with my mum and we both ordered different soups, mine was the curry udon and mum's was the beef udon. i preferred the beef udon with the delicious beef broth. i found the curry udon a bit heavy, certainly if you are eating a large one! there are also tempura options to pick up on your way to the final counter where you pay. i certainly think marukame is worth visiting while you are in waikiki though it should be considered as a fast-food option rather than a restaurant dining experience.

the queues can be quietlong(40min wait for you) but some of the best udon i’ve eaten

a few solid tips led us to marakume udon for some freshly made udon noodles. watch the noodles get rolled and cooked in front of you, then add your chosen toppings of egg, tempura and flavourings like chili flakes and wasabi, tenkasu (tempura crumbs), welsh green onions and ginger. although there is alongline, it moves fast, so it was worth paying a visit. so cheap, $5 or less for the udon! amazing udon it is.

this was one of the first restaurants we noticed during our vacation in hawaii as it’s so full packed of customers lining up outside their premises. initially we were tempted to queue but it was just toolongfor us so we thought why not try on a later time, the line might be shorter anyways the restaurant is just around the corner from our hotel so we can check it always. we then moved on and continued where we are heading for the day which are the waikiki shops. as the day ends we headed back to the hotel and at the same time checked if the queue got shorter to our surprise it became longer, we still did not queue.

we loved it. line islongbut moves quickly. great udon noodles in flavorful broth with fresh and tasty mix ins. tempura was ok but i recommend skipping it and sticking with the udon noodles and broth.

wonderful place to eat at any time of the day. if you know the right time to go, you wont need to wait in line for long. fresh, easy to order, affordable and delicious! the only problem is thelongqueue and seating.

an absolute must try in honolulu! while the rest of hawaii is fairly pricey, marukame udon is amazing value for money. bowls of udon start at 3.75 and topping are about 1.50 each. so if you pick a bowl of udon and a veggie tempura like my friend (pictured) you can have a really satisfying meal for $5.25! i went a bit crazy with the toppings and my meal was still only $10.90. the udon itself is the best i've ever tried, perfect al dente texture. expect to wait alongtime in line, but being cafeteria style your food comes out instantly so it kind of evens out. i only wish i could bring this place back home with me!

4.2 rounded up to 4.5?the food was great, the fried self serve foods were delicious. only problem i would say is the soups a bit salty and there's alongline.. i would also consider the atmosphere of the line outside because it's not the most cleanest place... everything else is good. price was very great and for its price it doesn't get much better

the lines can belong(go around 2 to 3 pm for shortest lines) but it is worth the wait. i had the egg drop soup ramen 3 times while i was there. it was delicious! it is cafeteria style and you tell them what noodles you want and then you can pick sides like batter fried boiled eggs or fried shrimp. while waiting in line you can watch them make the noodles which is why they taste so amazing. i have become addicted to these noodles and wish i could find some this good in my hometown.

there was alongline but it moved quite quickly and we had our meals and were seated in 30 minutes. great affordable and filling meals. happening ambiance. take away options.

my family stayed at royal hawaiian hotel for 4 days and we noticed this place always having alongline and we thought they must have some good stuff. so we tried it on our 3rd day of staycation at waikiki, we had our dinner and enjoyed it. don't be discouraged by thelongline, you will not stand in line for a while, i think we only waited for about 4 to 10 mins. i'm not really an udon fan but my husband loved it. i like the waikiki branch more than the one in downtown, i think the udon is better...

wow wow wow! first time eating here and first time eating udon was incredible! don't let thelonglines turn you away. service is fast and easy and delicious! though finding a place to sit is hard.
