really good place. this one is pretty good. i've been coming here for years and the service is always really good. i did come in i'd say about a month ago on a date and we didn't realize they were closing in about ten minutes but they were still really nice to us and gave us really good service. i will definitely be coming back!

i'm in bbq heaven! i'm not a bbq fan, but this was amazing. great service, food & buttermilk pie crunch! mmm

mark's is very popular and seems crowded all the time.  good family place.  we started with the fried pickle chips and they are different from the norm and  very good.   sliced thin, almost like potato chips, the dill taste comes through in a full way.  and, you get a huge basket full.  they only offer baby back ribs (i prefer full spare ribs) but the meat is nicely smoked and moist.  then, they finish them off on a grill for a quick char and glazed with sauce.  if you want to control the sauce, order them dry. another of their specialties is chicken wings.  they come lightly smoked, coated and fried then glazed with a honey sauce.  they're pretty good, but get rich.  (good cold the next day.)  they give an ample side portion of sweet potato fries.  they seem to have the sweetness amped up with a little added sugar.    green beans are fully cooked with a little smokey meat and the slaw has a touch of apple in it.  good.  they have limited beer and wine available.   prices are competitive with most bbq places and service is top notch.  lots of servers moving all the time and keeping track of their tables.  good fundamentals.   mark's is quite popular for a reason; good food and service for a fair price.

if a casual meal and casual atmosphere are what you're after then you have come to the right place. southern comfort food is your only option and unfortunately it stands as mediocre in my book. i had a traditional burger with fries. it was a large portioned burger but but overall bland. i sampled my friends sweet potato fries and they were pretty good.

this restaurant has completely gone downhill over the last few years.  the service is very slow and the food is definitely not worth the wait.  i had no idea pulled pork could be so dry, tough, and tasteless.  their sauces are fine, sides are acceptable, but the meats are just terrible.

bbq is the name of the game. rustic feel inside but not comfortable. the food is good and selection of sauces is good. service is okay. fast to table.

a local gem and known bbq joint, this place even pleases a picky vegetarian! down home country cooking, mark's knows delicious and simple food. i have been going to this place since i was a kid...love the pigs outside of the restaurant--great photo opportunity!

had the pork sandwich with fries and cole slaw. pretty good. great prices for portions. went for lunch and service was a little slow but other than that i would recommend.

chose the #1 combo meal tonight. very tasty and full of flavor. wings were juicy, brisket with the original bbq sauce was finger-lickin good. ribs topped it off!

dissapppointing meal. the pork is stringy the briskiy tough.
baked beans and mac& cheese were good. won't return the good has gon down hill

awesome food and service. we found mark's feed store on the web while visiting kentucky kingdom and were certainly not disappointed. everything we tried was incredible. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. would defiantly come back again. well worth the visit. good value for the amount of food you receive.

i am a barbecue snob and this place hit it the nail on the head on every one of the recipes we ordered. we had a party of four and we all shared entrees to create out own sampler. i was most surprised that we could get brisket this good north of texas. well done!

awful!!!. i had the chicken platter as i was trying to eat light. it was definitely not barbequed.
in fact it was slimy and tasted nearly raw, it actually made me quite ill. the sauces were no better than the ones you buy on sale at krogers. the sweet potato fries were bland and unseasoned, and the coleslaw was not the slightest bit fresh. even the bread was greasy. it seemed to be a slice of white bread fried in some kind of oil with no garlic or seasoning. besides, the servings were tiny and expensive, the place was uber noisy, and the wait staff were unattentive. i had a hard time even getting silverware, and the paper towels are necessary due to all the grease and icky sauces. i was up charged 20 cents for substituting a corn muffin for greasy toast. come on, louisville. i know you can do better barbeque than this!!!

a great place to dine. while there was a wait, we were so glad we stayed. a great server, and great food. our first time, so she explained everything on the menu. after our meal, the waitress brought all of us a slice of their famous buttermilk pie and a bottle of our favorite bbq sauce.... on the house. i'll be back. great job!!!
