marker 88 restaurant

food was decent and side portions were very good sizes. service longs to be desired, waiter only visited the table when he wanted us to order, saw him two more times during the meal and wasn't impressed by his service and the length of time for him to return after meals was delivered by other servers.

marker 88-drive on by. we had dinner tonight at marker 88 and were very disappointed. inattentive and slow service. drinks were only average. salad was very good, but not included with the entree. fish was mushy and fries were limp and soggy (and cold). overrated and way overpriced. premium prices for entrees with one side. if you want a vegetable for a second side, you pay separate for that as you do for a side salad. i would choose another place if you are looking for fine or gourmet dining because marker 88 was neither.

this was our favorite place to go during our week stay in key largo. friendly staff, very fresh fish, great people watching and just the right amount of beach vibe with the upscale atmosphere. sit at the bar and eat if you are a couple and you will not have to wait.

great!!. lets remove the fact that the view is beautiful and get right down to the brass tax. i am very picky about eating seafood and one of the only places i will constantly order fish is right here at mm88. the fish is fresh, if grouper is in season of course....just ask....and excellent. now...add the view, the music and the atmosphere. you hardly care that you're paying a bit more for the food. a great place

great food and view!. love this place! they have a great view of the sunset and great food too. this is our second time here and we will come again next time we are in the keys! i had their tropical salad and it was a very good vegan option on the menu! the only bad thing i will say is that there are bananas in the salad which i did not know and to be perfectly honest when i found the first squished up one in my salad i had no idea what it was and thought it was something really gross! after i dug around a little though and found a whole slice i was fine again and enjoyed the rest of my salad. they have awesome seafood here too!

horrible service don’t go there, requested a table overlooking the water when we arrived and was told non available, yet a table opens up, we requested it and was told no, no restuarant does this, good luck at this pathetic place.

great food but the service is spotty. first time ok, but the 2nd time we sat for 15 - 20 minutes without seeing a server (not even for water). called the main number from our cell phone to complain and they then (apparently) re-assigned us to another server, who saved the day. great food (stone crabs, grouper, steak entrees) but slightly overpriced.

fish and everything is good.

i have been in the florida keys several times but this is the first time that i tried market 88 and i have to say that i was extremely happy and satisfied
not only the place and ambiance were amazing (live music, beautiful landscape) but the service was excellent! al least our waitress was incredibly attentive. the food was delicious and fresh! 100% recommended! this is a must to do while traveling to the keys :)

stopped on my way through town. food was ok. decent. wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it did the job. service was ok, but a little slow.

lunch was awesome. stacy was our server, she was fantastic and prob the best server i have had in some time!! the mahi mahi was fresh and fabulous great lunch macaroni was killer and so was the chicken avacado club;) i would defiantly go back

very disappointed. after seeing the good review on the tv we decided to give it a try. although the location was great the service and food was a huge disappointment. the staff made it feel they were there because they had to be there and the food was served cold. when we stated the fries were cold they went in the back grabbed some more and microwaved them. no doubt about it. the 5 cheese macaroni was cold as was my fish. won't be going back there at all.

nice outdoor location.. on a warm night even in mid winter this was a lovely location to eat outdoors. we lucked out with very good music and a nice friendy, attentive wait person. the hemingway cocktails and the key lime pie were both excellent!

slowest service on the planet. unattentive food was good but way overpriced.

insulting. got there an hour or so before sunset, put in our names, told wait would be 20 min., had drink at the bar. 30 min. later, young woman approaches bartender, asks when she & friend would be waited on at the "swing (?) table", one of a few of these tables right on the water - they'd apparently just walked in and sat down. bartender asked if she'd put her name on the list, she said "no", went to hostess and did so. waiting 10 more mins, look over, and there's the same woman & friend sitting at this special table right on the water with a server taking their order! husband went to say something to the hostess. we were seated well away from the water, with the sunset view blocked by trees. were given menus, looked them over, watched the sunset, looked at the menus some more...and more...no server, not even a glass of water. after another 10 mins., finally got up and left when we saw the couple on the water eating their food. were nearly to our car when hostess came over and asked if we'd ordered yet?! 'fraid not. just left and went to mcdonald's. no, really. prices on menu were ridiculous anyway, from what we saw others eating, didn't appear worth it.
