marinepolis sushi land

one of my favorite places because it's fast and extremely cheap! not only that but theirsushiqualify is unbelievable for their prices. they have really good service but i would recommend going for an earlier dinner.sushiland gets really crowded and it is not a late night dinner because they have barely anysushiby the end of the night! i would definetly recommend this place though! my mom and me come here all the time for a fast, cheap, and yummy lunch.

fast lunch, good selection.sushiland had a better selection than most conveyor places and the selection seamed to change regularly. service was slow and they seamed kind of lost, but the conveyor takes the server out of the mix if you are good with the selections coming around.
sockeye salmon was great, seared tuna and tempura unagi roll were also nice surpises for a conveyor place.
worth a visit if you are cravingsushiand don't have a lot of time.

if you are gluten free, run somewhere else. unlike the rest of thesushiplaces in pdx, including the other conveyor beltsushirestaurants, sushiland does not stock tamari. their hopelessly clueless staff also had no idea what tamari was, not did they seem to care at all. i don't expect every place to give two s**ts about every food allergy out there, but in portland we have options. and we have greatsushioptions for gluten free eaters, so it's their loss to not buy themselves one $4 bottle of tamari. so gf eaters out there, take your business to other fastsushirestaurants who stock tamari. what other restaurants might they be? pretty much anywhere but sushiland.

mothra says...godzilla plate of sushi. after a long day at the office, i surprised k with a "to go dinner" fromsushiland at bridgeport in tigard. we have visitedsushiland probably on 8 occasions in the last couple of years. it is clean, fast, efficient, friendly, and i love to admit…. really inexpensive. while i waited for my "family" portion of dinner to be prepared (i assume family means about 4 humans….. big lol as the two of us shared this with only about 10 pcs leftover), i joined the crowd, sat, had a hot tea, and a couple of sushi's off of the moving rubber belt. ann greeted me with a smile and a "how can i help you today?." the servers were efficient and polite. after about 15 minutes, my 32 piece (i know, can you believe it?) dinner was ready for pick up.
at the casa de mothra, we enjoyed tuna rolls topped with mackerel caviar, sliced salmon sushi, sliced tuna sushi, tuna rolls topped with crab in a creamy mixture, maki rolls with thin egg on the exterior, maki rolls with cold scrambled egg & caviar, octopus sushi, squid sushi, rice in a sweet brown package (i confess that i do not know what these are called…… but they are lovely to eat). in addition, add to the list sliced prawn sushi. this is just a fun and tasty place to eat good sushi.
and this aforementioned family plate was one single andrew jackson…..i know……. i know! mothra says….one of my favorites… 3.5 of 5.0

inexpensive good quality sushi. this place gets very busy at lunchtime. if you're going with more than a couple of people, you'll probably have to wait for a spot. thesushiis good, and varied. unlike a lot of other places, they actually label the more interesting dishes which is great for beginners. it's easy to get in and out of here for under $10 - and the plate prices are cheaper than all the local competition.
