my coworkers and i come here a lot for lunch. it'sgoodmexican food for the price and portion. they have one of the best chile relleno i've had. it's not oily and the batter is not thick. complimentary chips and salsa and their salsa is pretty good. their red sauce is not the norm. they put cinnamon in their red sauce, which was weird at first but i like it. they are consistent for the most part. come early if your coming for lunch. by 1130 the place starts to fill up and gets pretty crowded. they have plenty of outdoor seating. if you want to hear your conversation sit outside. inside is way too loud.

been going to maria elena's since 2010 for lunch, mostly with colleagues. it's super busy and totally packed during lunch hours. their salsa is the best i have had. i love their chicken fajitas and always tasted good. only problem was that it would always take time and end up eating chips with salsa.

staff is friendly but service is a bit slow. they have agooddecent lunch menu, never tried it though..
