mara restaurant & lounge

i went to mara twice last week mainly because the weather was great and the ambience at the outdoor seating area was wonderful
the staff definitely need training the menu didn’t have many vegetarian options , the food was good but can be improved from quality. the drinks mocktail menu need to be revised...using canned juices mixing them together doesn’t qualify as a mocktail ... they don’t serve decaf coffee

used to love mara and had recommended all my friends to go. it was my eighth time today but todays service was exceptionally rude. took my husband for our anniversary today, my husband and i waited 20 mins for our order to be taken, and i asked arbind to replace an ingredient in my burger which they always do, he rudely refused without even asking the chef, or caring that we were regularly customers who have ordered this before. going to ensure to spread the word about their service, specially mr. arbind who proudly asked us to complain.

amazing food and service, i loved mara fries the most

we had a dinner in mara and i can say that everything was really amazing. you’ll definitely get what you paid for. kudos to the manager and his staffs who gave us a reason to comeback! 🍽

triple chocolate cake was delicious , buffalo dynamite fries was good but was only with 4 pieces of chicken , i wish the buffalo sauce was all over the potato but it was not. and their spanish coffee latte was fine. the place is great and the staff were fine. for sure i will visit it again to try the main courses

i went here on a weekday with 2 friends. it was 12 noon and the manager refused to serve us lunch saying that until 12:45 only breakfast menu was served. we all have school pick ups at 2pm so it would get very late for us to only begin to order lunch at 12:45. we requested a lot to let us order at that time but he is would not budge. it ended up with the indian manager sternly talking to us and walking off from our table stating that there was nothing he could do. we found that extremely rude and egoistic. we got up and walked out of the restaurant in front of him. we went to brunch & cake next door, enjoyed a great meal and excellent service and had enough time to eat our lunch and catch up. not serving lunch until after 12:45 pm is late and not willing to adjust to customers is a loss for the restaurant and talking high handedly is certainly not done. kindly look into this. we had come to the restaurant with great recommendations and high expectations. alas!

i loved our experience at mara it is now a family favorite. the service, the food and the ambiance everything was great. for drinks my favorite is the spanish latte from ministry of coffee which is located inside mara lounge.
we tried their breakfast and our favorites were:
basil pesto egg
breakfast flat bread
masala dosa tacos
waffles
lotus french toast
and we ended our heavenly meal with their scrumptious mara bomb.
can’t wait to go back.

love the vibe of this place. they have a lovely breakfast especially the waffles are to die for! the dosa tacos was very unique and very tasty. can't wait to come back here.

such a fab place to be at. enjoy all delicious dishes from all around the world with their own twist. my favorite was dosa taco, lotus pancake and iced spanish latte

we always visited this nice resturent mu family also like this amazing palce. staff very frindlly and food amazing,, we like also the way manager talk he looks very profesional and very active every where.. 10/10 this amazing restaurant thank you ♥️♥️♥️

their 1- juice i order miami smthing but taste orange normal juice, my friend order smthing mint drink was lemon loool
2- burrata not fresh
3- cajun shrimp very normal
4- mara fries good
5- kushari taste only cuman
6- desserts we order lotus but taste chocolate where is lotus i don’t know 🤷‍♀️
coffee good but not hot enough

price lil bit high

decided to try this restaurant as, i have visited their university city branch a couple of times and have liked the food. we went to try their desserts and were not very impressed with it.

what we ordered was the lavender milk cake and the lotus drama. the milk cake was something very different to what we had ever tried before. i found it quite weird but, my friend really enjoyed it though it was abit too sweet. 

the lotus drama was a complete let down and i was very disappointed as, i was hoping it would taste close to the parker's lotus dessert. the dessert tasted more of chocolate than lotus. 

all in all, their desserts are very over priced and luckily we had zomato gold which made it worth the visit. but, i do not think i would go back again until they re-think their prices.

nothing special, i had breakfast with a friend before going to work. service needs to be improved a bit, overall was a normal meal, can say ok.
