dirty and gross. i can't believe the food network advised me to go here. the place was dirty, creepy, and my burger wasn't any good. the burger had no salt or pepper and was hands down the greasiest i have ever had. it's all i could taste. they forgot my tomatoes, mustard, and relish, and were rude when i asked for them. the bathroom was filthy and nasty. i'm making this review 15 minutes after leaving and i already feel sick to my stomach. just gross on every level.

stamp of approval. the burger was pretty good, but i wouldn't call it the best burger in dallas. it was a cross between on old fashioned greasy burger and more sophisticated burger. the portions were correct, not too many toppings. the flavors worked well together. the fries were seasoned very well. i went for the bacon cheese burger and i can't complain. i tried the jolly rancher tea, i could definitely smell the jolly rancher, i'm not sure if i could actually taste it. overall we had a good experience and will be back!

it was a mighty fine burger. a great burger and great company. i’d go there again.

the structured seating was obnoxious. the owner was rude and pompous. won't go back because the work staff was so rude and unfriendly we couldn't relax and have fun. they acted like bouncers. totally not kid friendly. actually got the impression they don't want kids there.

industry sanctuary. everyone is a critic, really? this forum was intended to spread word of new restaurants in the dallas/fort worth "urban" area. to help new restaurants get exposure, and illustrate what they offer. not to slander independent business men trying to revitalize a sketchy part of town. i've got $20 in my pocket right now, that all of the sniveling comments i've read on this forum are from people who live in the suburbs. people use to constant verbal falacio's, which apparently compensates for mediocre food. well, you should probably stay in frisco, plano, or grapevine. stay with what you know, friday's and flare. i've lived here for 18 years, in the city, and am very excited to have m&m open up so close to downtown. if you are responsible for any of the negative comments on this forum (not objective feedback), you should be ashamed of yourselves. if you have never been to this establishment, just drive by any weekday, between 11:00 and 1:00. then, ask yourself why their parking lot, and the two adjacent parking lots (across the street) are full?

ive had to-go orders that were great.... but i am so turned off by the owners responses on here and on yelp that i will never go myself.

awful across the board!. when i went to maple & motor when it first opened i was irritated by their "no poaching seats" policy, especially the way they told my 10 year old kid to 'get up, and did you read the sign'. it was busy so i understood . the burger wasn't memorable. i went back last night with my father and son to give it a 2nd try and it wasn't busy. the lady at the door supposedly 'greeting' didnt say a word, not evening hello. the lady that took our order couldn't have been ruder or more put out as if we were doing her a favor speding $40 on 3 hamburgers. i then asked the owner if the bologa sandwich was good, to which he replied 'no, its terrible'. after i looked at him funny, he said something like 'we only have 9 items they better all be good'. news flash, they're not. we all had burgers and not one of us could finish w/o the things totally falling apart in our hands. if i want to use a knife and fork, i'll go to a steak place. tater tots were good to be fair. of course when we left not a single thank you. zero. i'll never go back! i guess this clown thinks he's the modern day version of harvey goff. maybe so, but a goff burger was worth putting up with harvey. this one isn't close.

don't be fooled by the outside. they mean it when they say, order then sit down. the place is small, old and loud. the bathrooms are not the best...so what...the burgers are awesome as are the onion rings. the baloney sandwich is great! if you want to highly customize a burger, this is not for you. if you want a great burger every time....it is for you!

best burger i've ever had. not just in dallas. best burger anywhere. get a fried egg on it. when i did, it officially became my all-time favorite.

burger nazi. i had the displeasure of going to m&m for the first (and last) time this past weekend. upon arriving, i inadvertently violated one of the bizarre house rules and was scolded like a child by owner, mr. jack-bag perkins. admittedly, i was not aware that securing a table prior to ordering was a massive protocol violation. after he removed me from the table, my friend had just finished ordering and now no tables were available. we stood at the bar drinking our beers in awe of how obnoxious he handled the situation and compared him to the soup nazi on seinfeld which, if you’ve seen the episode, describes him to a tee. jack overheard our conversation and aggressively approached us asking if we really wanted to stay. after a short exchange, he grabbed our beers and poured them out in the sink. i kid you not.... he snatched our check from the bar, swiped money out of the register, slammed it down and told us to “get out!” so i say to anyone that is even contemplating a visit to m&m, think twice before you support the business of such an insufferable twit.

this mom loves maple & motor. upon discovering maple & motor a couple of months ago, my husband & our friends have gone once a week if possible. we have recommended it to anyone who will listen and have taken other couples with us to try it. in contrast to what some of the other reviewers have said, we have never had anything but courteous, friendly service and we bring our small children with us as well (they love the chicken tenders!). the food is crave-inducing! the burgers are the best i've had in dallas, you gotta love tots & the drinkable ice cream tastes like it came right out of my granny's ice cream churn! if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

$7 for a bad blt. blt's are $7.00 and are absolutely not worth it. it's 90% bread, dinky tomato and 2 or 3 pieces of bacon.

i absolutely love maple and motor. the burgers are so so good, and the fries are amazing, too. although it is always kind of crowded, we have always been able to find an accommodating table, the vibe of this place is so awesome, and we love playing songs on the jukebox. the food always comes out so fast, and it is a great place for a quick eat, but still a quality meal. i cannot wait until the next time i am dallas and can go again!

this is definitely the dive part of triple d. thye have a small menu and the food is served in paper-lined baskets. my tip here is to share the tots, you get a massive basket.
