great atmosphere and i really like the location, just outside busy benson. our group of four stopped in on a friday evening at dinnertimeand were able to get a seat on the patio. we started with drinks, and although their drink menu was more limited than i expected, the bloody mary's and moscow mules were good and inexpensive. the food menu is also small, but the food was prepared very well and was good enough to make up for limited selection. all in all, we liked it! the menu is simple, yet the food is delicious. the atmosphere is also very nice, so we will be back!

meh.. i really wish there was a "meh" button on here. i neither liked nor disliked my meal here. i really *wanted* to like it. i ate it all. but it was pretty disappointing. i got the chopped veggie salad and added salmon. the presentation was good, but the piece of salmon i got for $4 extra dollars was miniscule. and the salad dressing was not good at all. it was a soy ginger vinaigrette (which i usually love) but the salty soy taste was completely overpowering. i didn't even taste ginger.

i wouldn't be opposed to going back and trying it again, but thistimearound i was not impressed.

disappointed. i used to really love this restaurant but have had bad experiences the last two times there. i usually try to tell management before going social but there is no contact on the website.
last night, it took 25 minutes after ordering to receive fish and chips and a bowl of soup that was cold - had to go back. the restaurant was only about 1/4 full. the folks next to us had to ask a secondtimefor their drinks - beer and wine. the waitress told them "the bartender gets to chatting and forgets".
during the prior visit, they were out of sam adams and the walleye at 730 pm on a friday. we ended up not ordering a second entree out of frustration as the second choice was out as well. nothing was offered to make amends.
the menu is tired with little change over the last year.
will be sometimebefore we go back. it would seem that owner presence is no longer obvious which might be the difference.

i adore the food at this restaurant, but i have been there twice in the last two weeks and there's something that needs fixin' in their service and/or their kitchen. servers are lovely and attentive when you can track them down, and they seem to spend most of theirtimehovering at the window to the kitchen and running thru the dining room to deliver food. the restaurant is too noisy for any lingering over one's meal, and eager diners-to-be stack up by the door while other diners wait, wait, wait to request a box and the check. the hassle of it all is enough to make me think twice before returning.

solid. i've been to mantra twice and both times were very solid. this lasttimewas a wednesday night around 8 pm. there weren't many people there, so if you dislike crowds, it's a goodtimeto go. the service was friendly and attentive. the drinks were good and the food was solid. i had the turkey burger, which i really enjoyed. the fries were a basic shoestring type, that could and should be better. my date had salmon, which he enjoyed. all in all a good experience and i'll definitely go again.

nice restaurant!. my wife and i recently had an early dinner at mantra. we were seated immediately after entering the restaurant and greeted soon thereafter by our very friendly server, sammi. my wife and i ordered our drinks and did not feel rushed by sammi as we took ourtimelooking over the menu. we finally decided on the dijon shrimp starter to share, the seafood enchilada for my wife and i ordered the crabcake salad.

the dijon shrimp arrived quickly with 6 plump shrimp nestled in an escargot plated, each resting in a well of buttery, melted havarti cheese. the shrimp is served with sliced french bread which came in handy for soaking up the buttery goodness left in the escargot plate after eating the shrimp!

my wife's seafood enchilada platter looked very appetizing with two seafood-stuffed enchiladas with beans and rice on the side. my wife was very pleased with her choice.

i awaited my crabcake salad with some trepidation, though. i was soon put at ease as the large platter of mixed greens, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes and french bread croutons arrived. the greens were well-dressed in a balsamic vinagrette and topped with two, well portioned, lump crabcakes. this salad was delicious!

a very nice, casual, dinner for two, with drinks, appetizer and entrees for around $50. it was the start of a good night!
