excellent friday lunch buffet! it was a very good dining experience, nice ambience and too good service for a indian restaurant.
unbelievably tasty food, starters included bhel, pav bhaji, moong dal salad(came with seafood), roasted chicken, veg pakoras and vada. curries included chicken, lamb and fish. chicken and lamb curries were done really well. even the veg curries - dal makkani, chana masala and paneer were good.

all of us had good time. will go again and again.

i was mislead to park balluchi due to the number of good reviews. i had a bad experience with the food. i went for the rose milk, aloo gobi and bread basket (alu kulcha, naan and lacha parata).

definitely none of the items were good.
order started with rose milk. it had way too much essence which made it super sugary and difficult to drink. then came the main course - bread basket had naan which was bit dry, lacha parata having minimum salt and the alu parata tasting a bit off. the aloo gobi was ok and didnt quite alleviate the taste problem coming from the other items.

even with all the issues, the service of the staff and general attitude is very good and they did a number of things. firstly, when i told about the lack of salt, they went to the kitchen and came back and told they dont add much salt in the lacha parata. they also apologized for the food and took 10% off my bill. that is good customer service. i still give it a lower rating as the food was not enjoyable.

extremely over-hyped place. visited it the second time in person after my takeout was bad, just to verify if that's actually the case. yes it is.
the food is average, the price is extremely above average, service below average and ambiance good. the food in general is topped with more oil since spices are not enough i guess. (:p)
overall, if you're looking at trying out an indian restaurant, then don't do this. :)
the only upside- their carrot halwa is good.

very well organized .yummy vegetarian options ,lots of options in apetizzers and main course .
we directly had main course ,veg birynai was brilliatly presented and was fantastic in taste

the food here is delicious and nicely prepared. good variety of starters with variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.the ambience is good with quick service. i would really recommended amritsari paneer tikka one of the best i have had in years.

average food on high street.

except for naan and goat curry, everything was a miss. most of the stuff present in the buffet are just to tick off the count on number of items that make up the buffet.

they really fall short in variety and quality on the dessert front too.

visited this place for lunch buffet on father's day with parents and family. though because of father's day they have increased the cost of buffet but it was worth having it. everyone enjoyed the lunch including parents.

this is a good indian restaurant on castro street that is a must visit.the ambience is nice and the staff friendly. the food is rightly spiced and the quantity is good.the mutton boti kebab though was very chewy. other than that, no complaints

if you have not visited this place, give it a try. i would recommend the veg thali option. it has got a lot of stuff like chaat, 3 types of subzis, naan, rice, sweet and buttermilk. and the best part, it costs just 12 bucks. so, if you are looking for yum and affordable food, this place at castro is a must visit!!

very good north indian/punjabi/pakistani place. lovely buffet and equally good al la carte. specially try the various naans in the bread basket. also the lamb gravies are really amazing. eat to your heart's content and visit again as the menu has lots of gems to choose to try :)
