manny's uptown tex-mex

great tex-mex. loved it! don't know if i just happened to go on two good days or what. but i've been there twice in the last month and thefoodand service has been great.

the fajitas are cooked rare and have great seasoning and the brisket tacos are ridiculously good.

margarita's are great, finially somewhere that makes a respectable frozen margarita with tequila and not just sweet and sour.

the patio is noisy but it's fun and the outside atmosphere under the trees invites you to be a bit louder than usual.

also, must say both times i had very good service (and i'm pretty picky about who i'll say that about). we had full drinks (water and 'ritas), full chip basket and salsa the whole time. and the waiter was close by and quick to respond whenever we asked for anything.

not so good tonight. man, o manny, what was wrong with yourfoodtonight? i took guests there and we all had manny's specials and they were just bad and sad, and i was embarrassed i chose here. i just don't see coming back to manny's again.

overly bland. save your self a bunch of money and go to taco bell or taco bueno as they at least some flavor in their food. thefoodwas not good or bad, it just had almost no taste at all. no beer or soda on tap, everything comes out of a bottle or can. the members of our party that had margarita's thought they where good, but extremely strong. the service was very excellent.

def one of the best mexican places ever. the brisket is the thing of wonders! i go into my happy place eating it. if anyone orders something else, they no not what they do. the dallas location is much nicer than the addison location for experience and atmosphere, but they both serve pretty much the same quality. best mexicanfoodin the metroplex! great chips and salsa, great taxi margaritas, chorizo queso, and the most amazing brisket (quesadillas, tacos, or nachos) which you have to get the side of gravy sauce with. don't kid yourself, you won't find better mexicanfoodin dfw!

thefoodat this joint has always been a plus. hence the reason we continue to come. but...the device on the other hand, could not be worse. i've been coming here for years because thefoodreally is amazing (burgeoning chicken is my favorite) but, even dispite numerous attempts to infirm management about the issue, the service completely sucks! okay, i get it. it's a family run restaurant. but i wonder, because how wonderful thefoodis, how much better would their business be if they hired competant servers and not just a friend of the family. overall, the damn good! service, damn bad!

consistently a pleaser. their frozen margarita is great. sipping that on the patio while waiting for the meal can be fine and contemplative moment. (note: there's a patio even in winter, enclosed by a monster tent- thingy, and heaters. nice.)

most of my visits lately have involved brisket, but the rest of the menu is impressive, and thefoodhits the spot. anything with an egg on it has to be good, hangover or no.

about a month ago, i took a hard-to-please friend there for lunch, and despite his warnings that it looked like rain, i insisted we sit on the patio. it rained. but the staff showed their true abilities, by ushering everyone on the patio (50+people) inside, told us to sit anywhere, and *still* got our orders to us timely and correct.

i've been to most of the "m crowd", and this one keeps me coming back.

horrible food, great margarita. wow, thefoodwas not good at all. the beans had no flavor. i hate eating cardboard flavored beans. the carne sauce was not good either. i also had a shrimp meal and that was just okay. this place needs to work on their tex mex flavoring and leave the authentic blandness out! on the upside the well margarita at this place was very very good. hard to find a well marg with great taste and just the right amount of tartness.

will eat there again. i enjoyed my lunch at manny's, thefoodwas excellent and the service was appreciated.

good. their chicken con hongas are awesome. the service is always efficient and thefoodalways tastes great. they have generous portion sizes. sometimes the place can have a little too many little kids running around though.

a good margarita, but ..... inattentive service and bland guacamole. typical, canned, samey mexicanfoodyou can get at 80% of other places. but that marg was impressive and it is hard to get a good one. great location: you can park at the grocery store.
