mancini’s char house is a total classic! steaks are great and so are the drinks. love that it is such a friendly place with the employees all family members who want to make sure your experience is a good one. how many places can you get a veggie tray with dinner??

this place knows how to cook steak and lobster! service is amazing, food is amazing and ambience is 1970's supper club/lounge. the baked potatoes are spot on fluffy and the steaks are always cooked perfect to order. stay for the live entertainment on friday and saturday evening. you won't be disappointed!!!

exceptional service, great food!. my father and i go there every year as a tradition when he comes into town. the owner and his staff treat you like a king! we are big guys and we never leave hungry. everything they serve they provide in massive portions, and the steaks and garlic toast are fantastic. in ten years that we have been going it has always been the best steak i have had in the twin cities and i have been everywhere (mannys is great too but a lot more $) . there is a great nostalgic feel to the property as well.

save your money and go to texas roadhouse. the salad, potato and steak will all be better. the service was good but that was all.

a keeper!!. i am not from the the twin cities, but my honey is. he in fact worked for mancini's almost 40 years ago as a teenager. he was giving me a tour of his hometown area when mancini's seemed the perfect pit stop for supper and more stories. i was very impressed with the price as well as the quality of our meals. i had the steak & lobster, while terrance had the walleye. the staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the food was great, and i absolutely loved retiring to the lounge for a "after dinner drink". the atmosphere in the lounge was far beyond my expectations, the setting was awesome; i felt as if i was sitting in an old "italian movie set". perfect! don't change a thing! we enjoyed our visit there so much, we can't wait to go back! a story we love to share with our friends and family!! thank you mancini's :) for the rest of you out there, if you have not experienced the full assets of mancini's.......your loss!!

some things never change and i'm glad that since the last time i was here 15 years ago it still is great food, service and atmosphere.

best steaks in town!. mancini's not only has the best steaks in town, but they are also the best value. you can eat at mancini's for about half what it would cost to have steak at some of the so-called excellent steak chain restaurants. they must have a rule that one of the mancini family is always around. since nick left, i've always noticed one of his sons busily managing the floor. nick once personally grilled a steak for me when it was served less than well done.

mancini serves as starters a legendary basket of grilled garlic bread and a plate of spiced pickles and tomatoes. they will be happy to bring you one without dressing if you ask.

the unusual shape of the restaurant (a half block wide but not very deep) adds to the ambiance.

an italian restaurant that doesn't serve pasta! crazy, or delicious?. love this place, always reminds me of something "old school". i'm not a fan of steak typically, so i always get the chicken, which comes with a side of marinara. never had bad service or a bad meal. stay away on the 2nd thursday in march, unless you have reservations.

pretend you have gone back in time to when vegas was its hottest with frank and dean. skip dinner and slip into the lounge for cocktails. some nights it is taken over by the karaoke crowd tho... which can be fun!

blast from the past. i've been going there for years. nick would be proud of the way his boys are carrying on his tradition. big juicy steaks, garlic bread, big soft potato and the peppers and tomato appetizer is always yummy. the walleye is nice and flakey too. the atmosphere is still the same as when the gangsters used to dine there. we'll be back next saturday!

your classy grandpa would have dug this place. this restaurant was made for our grandfathers- all of them. but i totally dig that about it. they have kept their retro decor and feel from the 60's, but i mean that in the best possible way. they do one thing, and do it well- steak. even the parking lot smells great with the charbroiling smells coming out of this place. don't expect a ton of choices (and don't order anything besides steak)- you get to choose from about 4 basic steak types and the usual backed potatoes, side sald, etc. but when you really want a steak, this place does them well.

i concur with jeff's review below. tonight i went there and had one of the worst steaks i've ever had. i ordered a petite sirloin medium rare. the steak was prepared medium rare but was dry and not at all tender. the vegetables were far too buttery and the "salad" which was essentially a few pieces of iceberg lettuce were unremarkable. when we pointed out the problems with the steak, our waitress shrugged her shoulders and said "oh well". no effort to remedy it. i will admit the feel of the place is nice...old school. but steak connoisseurs should assiduously avoid this place. quite disappointed.
