this was such a unique little place. you queued up to a small window, attached to a kitchen where you placed your order. the menu was really simple and easy to read, right in front of you above the head of the person taking your order. (that's how it used to be). anyway, i rarely veered from my typical order of a garlic sausage (sujuk) wrap made with fresh flatbread, tahini sauce, pickles, tomato and lettuce. it was so good, sometimes i would order two, and then feel sick because i was too full. they had this great little shady, semi-open place to eat your food in, kind of like the porch of a beach shack, minus the water and sand. it was one of those places you were praying would make enough money to stick around for a while, and it did…looking forward to hitting it up next time i'm in san diego.
