worth every cent. this isn't exactly like going to in and out for a $5.69 burger, shake and fries. uncooking food, or lowering the heat, and/or just radically altering the food so that *after* you swallow it *matters* what happens is a big deal. sure, the thing might have delighted the palate, but if the food is dead, it dies within you. the human body is amazing in that it will still find a way to extract whatever nutrients it can from the s* we can eat, but in some cases we are only talking about 3% of the total mass of food. what about the other 97%? just dead weight. not only is there no benefit to dead weight, but indeed, it is proactively toxic. why not eat something that tastes great, has great texture, and *after* you swallow it, it goes to work energizing your body and bringing healing and health? we need to turn the ratio around to 97/3 instead of 3/97 (so to speak).

m.a.k.e. truly gets that. to see the food they create and bring to the table, you can tell there is love and wisdom behind it, not to mention creativity, as well as trying to get the diner there to realizerawcan have similar textures and good tastes on the palate, and make you feel like you are full and satisfied with a good meal.

'raw' has come a long way. since most of us are not olympic weightlifters that have to eat 1000 pounds of god only knows what to push up that extra 100 pounds in the gym (and then drop dead the next day), the truth is if you eatrawyou can still go to the gym, still have a hot bod, with good looking muscles, but look so much better, and feel amazing.

the downside is it takes a lot of effort to prepare stuff. we are all so lazy, and in such a hurry, we just don't make the time to put it together. that is where a place like m.a.k.e. comes in. i am in love with therawconcept. i want to be all in, but it is so time consuming its hard making the transition. i just hope and pray for places like m.a.k.e. to be all over the place, so a lazy guy like me can go out to eat the best of the best. it is too bad there is just one m.a.k.e.

don't eat yourself into an early grave all degenerated and worn out, looking like crap. maybe when you are 120 or 140 someday, after another great day looking and feeling great, as you sleep, your heart just beats its last, and you roll on to phase 2. we are all going to get there. the trick is to live well all the time in the meantime, instead of living like we are dying. live like you are living. and you can't do that eating dead food. while there is much more to being physically healthy and whole, eating living food that syncs with the demands of the body is a significant factor.

so check out m.a.k.e. the more of us that patronize these sorts of establishments, the market and demand for them will grow, which means they will proliferate, and that means we can still be busy and lazy, but instead of going to an in and out, we can go to a place like m.a.k.e. and we wont have to worry about what we ate killing us. instead, the exact opposite. we can feel great because we know what we ate is real positive fuel for the body.
