i am giving 4 stars for food. they have amazing dosas and idlis. they are really really fresh and authentic. i have been here during lunch time and dinner time, both the times this place was filled with people. this place is that popular. last time i went in with my colleagues and we allorderdifferent items like mysore masala dosa, onion uttapham, masala dosa, mini idli, medhu vada, idli and everything tasted amazing. their madras coffee, mango lassi, and badam milk tastes equally awesome.

this place has no music and utensils noise make this place little more noisy. while you go in, you have to tell them number of people in your party, have toorderfood and pay for it at the entrance. then they will walk you to the place to sit. parking gets tight since this place is located in a busier shopping complex.

very crowded place. one has toorderfood, pay for the food and then wait for seating.

portions are very large, especially if one has been used to portions in south india, the same kind of number of dishes ordered means trouble to finish.

food is quite tasty. their sambar is yummy. they could do well by reducing the amount of ghee used.

coffee and tea is not good.

very basic facility. friendly staff.

beware: you will be asked to leave in 10 mins if you are single!!!. over the years this cafe has built a lot of audience. but unfortunately as happens with greed their customer service has taken a sudden drop. yesterday when i came for dinner the key mgr in their restaurant asks me to move from one table to another while i am still having my dinner. his point was "there are 4 people waiting" and i would rather they sit on this table since you are single. i requested toordera snack item (rava dosa) and he tells me "it takes time" why don't youordersomething else. his point was to get rid of me so that he could have the table for the 4. what he didn't realize is i brought him in the last few months 100s of customers thru the company i work. i am so sad to see these people behave like this for the sake of greed.

they very well know the tradition in south india, not to ask anyone to move from their table while eating.. secondly he has lost the value of customer, and made making $$$ the primary incentive... taking customers for granted is a clear sign of failure for this restaraunt.

i hope many of you read this and do you part to send home a strong signal to such restaurants...by not visiting restaurants where they don't treat customers with mutual respect. the discrimination was evident and all that matters to them "the bottomline" and nothing else.

even though they have an elaborate menu many a times they will prevent you from ordering anything that means you will have to spend another 15 minutes in the table --- for they canordera simple dosa for someone else and make more $$$.

i never completed my dinner in the end btw, and paid for what i ate and walked out. it was truly sad to see people behave this way.

i have raised my complaint with bbb and they have promised to dig into this.

if you also see similar issues please raise to the better business bureau. believe me it works.. when there license renewal comes up, believe me these questions will be raised for sure...
