opening the account for 2021 withlushby the cliff. we kind of got lost since we came in from guru bar, but the guy who answered our call to hell us with directions, was super courteous and landed us at the gorgeous venue.
ambience gets a 10/10 because you cannot ever go wrong with a sea view. they’ve got a couple of tables and benches in an “indoor” setting and also have some beautiful cliff, bar bench seating as well that’ll definitely make a good sunset option.
coming to the food, we had the nachos, cheese garlic mushrooms, banjara kababs, fish & chips, chicken satay, butterfly prawns and kheema naan.
out of all of this, the mushrooms were a beautiful winner! perfect cheesy goodness oozing out of a crisp mushroom.
the nachos were a little disappointing as they promised us beans and all we got were a bowl of doritos with cheese sauce and a salsa side. the banjara kababs lacked seasoning and were spicy. the fish and chips were crisp outside and juicy inside (could’ve done with a little more frying). the chicken satay (again, lacked seasoning), were cooked to perfection and the peanut sauce was a great accompaniment. the butterfly prawns were beautifully crisped to perfection but again, lacked oomph. the kheema naan seemed interesting but were dry and lacked something that i can’t really pin down.
the servers seemed a little clumsy and unhygienic. one server was constantly spitting around us and had a careless attitude. however, our server was good and no complaints there. but, they could definitely do with learning a little more about their dishes.
however please be prepared for the neighbouring bar to screw your mind over with trance music.
for all you doggo lovers, you’ll definitely be pleased as the cute clan come to pay you a visit and cozy up to you.
the prices are justified for their superb quantity and their menu is elaborate.
food: 4/5 (only because the mushrooms were superb)
ambience : 5/5
