excellent and friendly service. good was outstanding.

best restaurant in camarillo! this is the only place we take guests from out of town. we have been waiting for so log to have great food in camarillo, and the wait is over. go here and eat!

the location and cramped parking lot leaves a bit to be desired but apart from the location this place is excellent.

the wait was minimal and the food was quick to appear and in a good pace. we ordered the lobster spinach dip and a bowl of clam chowder for a starter along with the guac. all of it was excellent. the cocktail for this dinner was the cubano and while stiff it was not overly poured. just right.

our main course was a strawberry salad, a half dozen oysters and a medium rare steak. everything was beautifully presented and exactly as requested. oysters could not have been creamier or smoother.

a wonderful dinner to top a great evening of shopping.

amazing place for sea food. start with oystsers and end with cheesecake. i started with a martini, which was mixed exceedingly well and followed up with pinot noir by flowers. after the oysters had calimari. for main course, there was sally's sand ... which is a secret recipe of the owner's mother . a herb crusted and lemon flavoured fish, this is really tasty and recommended. this restaurant is worth its weight in gold. go, visit it!

this place is absolutely fabulous! the food was fresh and fast, the waitress "brook" was super friendly and effective, i would definitely eat here again.

my first visit was great!! let's just say it won't be the last. the service was great and i really loved the oyster bar ..very unique.

the decor is very modern, clean lines, and an inviting color scheme. the menu offers traditional seafood fare with some harder to find offerings. the crab cakes were crispy and full of crab, the corn relish had too much cilantro for my taste. the clam chowder was rich and full of flavor. the sourdough bread was great for sopping up the minced clams. i had the brooiled cod with parmesan potato cake. the fish was nicely seasoned and cooked. the potato cake was a miss. it was more of a underseasoned casserole than a latke that i imagined. i had their key lime pie. it was thin, dense, and very bright with lime taste. thew graham crust was compact and worked well. the service was very attentive. we would love one of these in texas.

...had the fish and chips and fell in love…so we had to add it to our list of must eats! double plus is that it is near the camarillo outlets!

i love bluepoint oysters and was happy to find out that they have them! the oysters were lush and they are shucked right in front of you if you are sitting at the oyster bar. i am an oyster connoisseur! the only thing i can say is that the oysters were not as cold as they should be served, oysters should be served chilled to perfection. everything about the restaurant was great. our dinner was amazing, i had the wild salmon. i live in oak park and am excited to know that were are getting a lures in westlake village soon!

all the appetizers we ordered was a bang, each has it own unique flavors, setting new standard for our seafood culinary experiences in california. verdict : somewhat smitten

fantastic food, warm, welcoming staff. i have been visiting camarillo, ca for three of the last seven weeks on business. on my first of these many evenings i was fortunate enough to find lure fish house on urbanspoon. i am a seafood lover, and saw the great reviews and thought that it had to be tried.

i could not have been happier with my choice. in fact, i continued to eat there every night of each of my stays. i have learned the hard way from being a road warrior what can happen when you choose to explore after finding a restaurant that meets all of your expectations.

certainly you have to like seafood to eat at lure. in fact there is no chicken, or pork on the menu and the only two non-seafood entrees are steaks (did not try either).

i can vouch for the following:

oysters, oysters, oysters. extremely fresh, shucked by skilled folks behind the oyster bar (i encourage small parties to take in the action at the kitchenside oyster bar), and very tasty.

ahi martinie ceviche - wonderful, and almost a meal in itself (it's an app).

tried three of the fresh grilled fish: salmon, swordfish, sea bass, all of excellent calibre.

seared ahi tuna entree. omg - wonderful. for my last meal this evening i enjoyed the seafood louie salad (with shrimp and crab meat), and added the ahi tuna add-on for salad. huge portion, with wonderfully tasting fish. a+ for salad lovers who want the ahi!.

finally the staff are ultimately what make the dining experience one to savor. lots of restaurants can serve good, and even excellent food, but lure made me feel welcome from the first moment that i walked in. such personable staff, eager to help in anyway.

five stars all the way.

sadly, i'm back to canada and won't return to the area for a year or so. i take with me many fond memories of my meals and the friends that i have made at lure.

lure fish house was fabulous. last evening 3 friends and i went to lure fish house for the first time after spending the day shopping at premium outlet stores. each of us had a different dish. one had salmon, one trout, and one red snapper and i had seafood louie. we each tasted each others' dishes. we also had the crab cake appetizer and key lime pie and cheese cake, made in-house. everything was delicious and there was enough of each dish to take some home for another meal. our waiter, dan, was terrific and gave us good advice and information regarding different fishes and accompanying side dishes. we will definitely return for more meals and will tell our friends what a wonderful restaurant this is.

great food, good prices. excellent food, have eaten there thee times this week. try the wahoo (ono) or the sand dabs. prices are extremely fair considering it is seafood. very nicely decorated. can take your business clients or in-laws for a very good meal. highly recommend this restaurant.
